Great product with good instructions. Planning is key to a smooth installation.

I was thrilled to get this as there were only three in the store. I was even more thrilled that it was $50 cheaper than the exact same thing at Lowe’s!

Not a difficult job and a nice piece of mind to know that we have lighting, refrigeration, and heat up and running in about 5 min if we lose power from the grid. I did have to also order a 25ft cord as the 10ft one included in the kit was not optimal now I have a 35ft cord that goes from the generator to the outside inlet to my house.

Very nicely put together installation kit. Seems well built. It was easy to connect. The hardest part was designing and installing the long run of wire from the transfer switch to the exterior location of the generator. That took an entire Saturday. Once that was done, the hookup of the transfer switch was easy and went quickly. I really like having the circuit breakers for the generator line, and it works as perfectly as I'd hoped it would. I also found having the meters particularly helpful to determine if I'd balanced the loads properly.

Got the 10 circuit box.

Wow a real secondary power panel compared to my failed Generac panel. Even though it is for that rare backup generator use you just can’t go cheap because the switch in the line-mode is in normal use without generator. This is where my cheap chicklet switch slowly started to fail. In addition this box has real circuit breakers not a push-button micro breaker. Did not need 220 so it was easy to separate to get two additional 120 circuits for a total of 6.

I had to use this for power in my house a week after installation and it made living in my home much more comfortable than running extention cords everywhere. I highly recommend this for anyone that lives in Florida or anywhere in Hurricane affected areas where weather can take the power out for days.

Worked exactly as intended.

Wire connections were only 5' long and in my large box I made it work but another foot would have been great. Other than that it worked out great.

I'm using it to switch between Dominion Power and a back-up system for emergency use when/if we lose Dominion. It is fairly easy to install and should work well when I get the back-up system completed. The directions are easy to follow. Construction is sufficient and safe. Make sure you plan which circuits you want to switch before you begin construction. Until you are comfortable with everything in use, watch the meters on the transfer switch to make sure you don't pull more power through the transfer switch than it can handle safely.
