They changed sizes of rail, and old rail hangers,etc fit...
They changed sizes of rail, and old rail hangers,etc fit loosely. The metal reinforced back is a plus though!

Serious error in the directions.
The instructions have a serious error.
The rail is 48" long. The holes on both ends are inset by half an inch; the distance between the furthest holes is only 47". The instructions say that in order to meet the rated weight capacity, the ends of the rail must be installed into wall studs.
Wall studs are 48" on center, not 47". It's physically impossible to install this rail with both ends mounted into wall studs. It's amazing that no one at Rubbermaid has figured this out.
