I will probably not go to this location even though it’s convenient. I recently moved to the area in December. I’ve ordered custom doors paints hardware etc a whole home renovation through Home Depot. Spent Thousands of dollars and have invoices to prove it. I’m in the store 2-3 times a week. Weekly check the cameras. Either way my recent experience was the end of it. Went to purchase a drill and I waited 20 mins for an associate. I let him help an elderly woman first. Upon me asking for help as he walked out of the department. Reminder he hasn’t acknowledged me this whole time, and didn’t offer help. I asked for a product and he said they are right in front of me. I said I need a specific drill. He said they are out of stock. I said excuse me it says online that you have 12+ units in stock. He said No we are out. I asked can you please check up stock (the stock above the shelves) the rep said no . He said the online is wrong without doing visual confirmation. I could understand if the online said 1 or 2 units I wouldn’t even bother. But 12+ units. So moving forward I’ll purchase from somewhere else. I’m not getting any discount by being treated like crap in this store. So maybe someone will contact me and maybe not. But I won’t be going back and won’t recommend anyone to this location. Rude employees (not all) never offer help stand around and talk in groups while you struggle To look for product.

The people who work there are always helpful if i ask them where an item is located in the store. I always get help from an employee to take my item / carry it to my car and put it carefully into my car. Parking is very good.. not too far from the entrances .Easyand safe exits and entrances on Sunrise Highway and Merrick Road.. Traffic lights at both entrances make it a safe entrance and exit to the major highways. I can highly recommend this Home Deport in Freeport, Long Island, New York.

On January 02, 2021 I had gone into The Home Depot #1206 Freeport after having done my own research on an expensive Milwaukee power tool that Home Depot was offering a promotion on, with the intention on purchasing that product. Due to the high end cost of the tool it was secured and could only be opened by an associate. I attempted to ask an associate but could not immediately find one, neither after I had looked in the adjacent aisles. I decided to join my wife in the paint department while I figured an associate would return to the hardware aisle. My wife and I picked our paint colors, placed our order, and I returned to the hardware aisle where I observed Blanca(I believe to be her name because it was illegible on her apron) conversing with an individual at the end cap. I patiently waited while watching Blanca continue conversing for what I considered an extended amount of time. I politely excused myself and inquired with her if there were any associates in the area that could assist me with retrieving the product I sought. She replied, "Yes, I'm working here". I said "Great I would like to get a tool that is locked up". To my disbelief, Blanca then instructed me as a customer to check to see if the product was in stock. I looked at her in consternation and explained to her that regardless if the power tool was in stock it was part of a promotion & if the included promotional item was not in stock, this exchange was unnecessary. Nonetheless, I verified the powertool was in stock behind the lock caged & the promotional item I assumed to be included was also in stock. Then again I returned to the end cap where Blanca was continuing her general, personal conversation and informed her I had confirmed both items were in stock. At this point Blanca became visibly agitated excused herself from her conversation, walked past myself & my wife who had joined me by now, and proceeded to help another customer she had in queue. I was dumbfounded at the turn of events however continued to wait patiently for Blancas service. I watched as Blanca assisted customer, after customer, after customer until she came close to where I had been standing waiting, looking up at the pegs for a product. Seeing as she appeared inundated I amicably offered to help find whatever she may have been looking for. Blanca turned to me & said "Excuse me?" To which I once again offered my assistance. Blanca physically declined my aide by pursing her lips, nodding her head up & down, continuing to look for I can't even imagine. At that point, I went looking for another associate and located Jorge engaged, assisting another customer. I excused myself, asked if he could help me in the tool section and agreed he would after attending the previously mentioned customer. I remained in that aisle within earshot and visual observation while I looked at the 3M cartridge filters. For unknown reasons, Blanca made her way to that same aisle and spoke to Jorge about me in Spanish(I only know this because I am a dark-skin hispanic). I bit my tongue only wanting assistance with the powertool so I can distance myself from the miserable associate, once and for all and returned back to the tool aisle where I waited for Jorge's assistance. Jorge eventually came to the where I was coincidentally as a new customer approached and made an inquiry. Jorge gave him a quick answer, explaining he had to assist me and would then attend to the new customer. Blanca physically grabbed Jorge by the arm as he came to approach me & said "Deja que el espera, atiendele a el"(Let him wait, assist this customer) escorting Jorge to the new customer. Jorge adamantly stated, "I have to help him first". By now I had enough and addressed Blanca in Spanish to her visual disbelief. Blanca replied "You're going to wait, you have to learn to respect me". I requested she get a supervisor. Before she could leave the aisle, an individual not in uniform identified himself as a supervisor, followed by "Val" also identifying herself as a supervisor. For a total of four(4) Home Depot employees including Blanca, and Jorge. I explained the situation to "Val" who did her best to accommodate me. All in all, my purchase totaled $625.07, I am a frequent Home Depot customer and have never been treated this way or would expect anyone. HORRIFIC!
