Great cashier, great customer service

Okay store but don't expect to get much help from the staff.

I left my Home Depot card at home and stood in the customer service line to see if they’re able to look me up with my I.D. The Home Depot greeter noticed me in line as asked if I had a return, I advised no but I left my Home Depot card at home and need someone to look me up. She advised thats fine and I was in the right place. When I got up to the counter Nate the Home Depot associate asked if I had a return and I advised no, and he immediately advises that I’m in the wrong location and that he only does returns and I needed to go to see a cashier at the other end of the store. I advised that I left my Home Depot card at home and needed someone to look me up with my I.D. and that’s why I stood in customer service . He advised again that he couldn’t help me because he’s return only and I needed to leave his line for a cashier. I advised that the greeter qualified me to stand in the customer service line and advised that they’re the ones who should be able to help me and that I was in line for 10-15 mins and I didn’t want to stand in line again and asked if he can please help me out. Nate then advises again that he can’t do returns because that’s not his function. I asked if maybe he didn’t know how to do purchases with looking up the I.D. and he advised that he can but will not do it because he’s only there to do returns. I just asked again for him to ring me out because the amount of time our conversation took I could be leaving the store, he advised that I need to leave the line “ sweetie” I advised him not to address me as “sweetie”. , he then goes on to address me as sweetheart and a few other pronouns such as ma’am and misses and tells me to go to the cashier, he then leaves and get Janet, Janet comes over and I explained to her that I left my card at home and just needed someone to look me up and ring me out with my ID. Janet the. Advises the same thing as Nate, that they only do returns only, I advised Janet that I shop at that store all the the time and that’s never the case for customer service and if she can please help me out. She then advises for me to stand in another line at the cashier. I advised Janet that I’ve already stood in line for 10-15 mins and the greet qualified me to get help at customer service so, she would either have to ring me out or get me the next spot in line for the cashier to ring me out because it wasn’t fair for one associate to advise I can get help at customer service and I wait for 10-15 mins plus conversation with her and Nate to get help. Janet calls a manager to ask on what she should do, the manager advises that she should ring me up. While I’m waiting in line I’m angry because Janet helps a couple for another 15 mins while Nate was available to cash me out. Plus I was also angry about how demoralizing and demeaning Nate and Janet just talked and treated me. I finally get to check out with Janet. When I was finished I took out my phone and took her name and advised I’m going to make a complaint because how I was treated wasn’t correct as I’m also a customer service professional and I wouldn’t had treated either Nate or Janet that way. Janet than blows up and start yelling at me for the whole store to hear, and I advised she’s being unprofessional and she points and tells me I can’t read, and all these other rude comments while yelling and acting crazy. She also advised me to leave the store. I guesses I’m not welcomed back at the Maple Heights Home Depot because I was told to leave by Janet. Many of the people I know who own homes on Maple Heights including myself don’t already like to shop in this city because of people like Nate, Janet, and Tune. If I don’t hear back from Home Depot advising that I can shop at this store, I will be sharing my experience with my friends and family. Lastly, Tune the young lady next to Nate was being rude by laughing and making comments indirectly at me during this exchange.

I have found all of the employees to be friendly, professional and very helpful, even when some customers were not happy using a different door than the one they entered in to exit. I have no problem with the social distancing policies in place for my safety. Also the parking area is close and has always been well lit. Thanks Home Depot.

I only shop stores within my neighborhood, and why not when The Home Depot has just about everything you need or want. I purchased a gorgeous Boho Bed quilt and my sister was floored when I told her it came from The Home Depot.

This store has some employees who are not very helpful at all.
