Shelves are in disarray and empty and there’s only one checkout line for cash purchases

After purchasing around $400 in materials I rented a truck for 19.00 that was meant to be used between 7:15pm and 9:00am the next morning. I screwed up and was sandwiched for time the next morning - so stopping to fuel the truck up caused me to be 10 minutes late. If I knew the late charge was going to be 600% the price of the rental, I wouldn't have fueled it up. I ended up being charged a little over $140 for a $20 rental, for being 10 minutes late on a 14 hour rental. While I acknowledge this is largely my fault, I am still dissatisfied with Home Depot for the following reasons: - When I rented the vehicle, there was nor warning of the late charge. Had I known being late 1 minute would septuple the rental price I would have made much more of an effort to be punctual. - I spoke with the manager on duty at the location explaining why I was late (gassing up the vehicle). He was pretty standoffish which was surprising, given the unexpected nature of the late charge and said there was nothing to be done - which I have my own reservations about.

The staff were extremely helpful which made my visit very pleasant.

Great store. There are some really knowledgeable individuals there that actually help. One was called over and he was great. hE went over the pros and cons of different power tools. Store was clean and COVID regulation compliant.

Excellent employees that are willing to listen and offer advice when asked.

Always have had a good experience when shopping there. Plenty of help to answer your questions. The employees are very friendly. The store is well kept and it is easy to find products.

Do not use this store for any projects they are only interested to collect the fees and they will never call you back with the price for the job.

I have never ever had the type of negative experience as I had with returning items to this store. I ordered items on line, so the receipt I had was from on line, with Order #, amount paid and from what credit card and my home address where the items were delivered too, even with this the cashier gave me a hard time because it showed that the items were returned, I explained to the cashier, how can that be, I have it hear in front of you. I asked the cashier to speak to a manager, she told me the manager was too busy, can you believe that, I will never shop in the Home Depot again. Home depot should train their employees customer service

No help available when looking for item. Slow, chaotic checkout process.

People over all are very helpful with the customers and the store is organized and clean.

If you excerise your rights under NYS executive order 202.17 and choose NOT to wear a mask (face covering) be prepared to be hassled the uneducated thugs who work the door.

New return policy sucks. Must have receipts and they must not expire .

Craig in the store as you walked in and john in the paint dept are always extremely helpful all the time.

the store is convenient to my home...there is always someone there to greet me when i come in.....and all the staff and cashiers are pleasant and helpful...i found the exact product that i needed, with the help of one of the store"s associates....and, the store is always neat and clean

I came in on 12/11/19 thinking this was the Jericho Home Depot to return items. Once I got to the parking lot, I figured I’d try this store out. The store was quiet for a weeknight and the associates were nice and friendly. The Associate at the Return desk was patient with me as I scrambled to look for a receipts. I appreciated that they did not rush me and took the time to process the return properly. She even pointed out about the Home Depot Survey which was the first time an Associate did that. Please commend her for excellent customer service. I would suggest that items bought at any Home Depot should be able to be returned to ANY Home Depot. I have to bring the items back again to get a refund at a particular Home Depot, even though I had the receipts and all. I was told it was a Delivery Order and that the particular store could only process it. It would be nice to have a universal return policy at all stores to avoid having to lug items back.

Associates were not attentive. I approach 2 employees to ask where a item could be found. The 2 employees ignored me and continued to talk to each other about a sporting event. 2nd issue is I require the use of a motorized wheel chair. The store had sufficient numbers of chairs but it was impossible to get a fully charged chair because they keep them in a area where they are blocked by carts that can be used with toddlers. You have to take the first chair and if the chairs are not being used it usually has a drained battery. They should not block the chairs making it impossible to use a fully charged chair. This store is handicap unfriendly. Cashier was friendly.

Syosset -John S. in customer service was a friendly guy and the lead cashier helped me to figure out why my survey wasn't registering on my phone.

The new Cash Registers is a told nightmare. Home Depot needs to get their act together
