Low inventory throughout store. Some employees were friendly and some didn't seem to care

Cathy B. provided excellent service when selecting cellular shades for our new home. She asked relevant questions about my project and was very knowledgable. I highly recommend her.

Sue Hill was the associate that helped us through the refrigerator search. Also quickly signed us up for a HD card and the purchasing process was seemless. And she was the only one in the floor, multitasking with us and multiple other customers with a kindness and a smile.

We are doing a remodel and at least five individuals assisted with great attitudes and were very kind.

Enjoy the store however, not enjoying the new military discount program. Most older veterans don't have smart phones and shouldn't be forced to carry one to receive the benefit. The $400 cap per year is also a joke, there is no limit to the amount of sacrifice our veterans make to preserve and defend this country there shouldn't be a limit to the amount of appreciative discount provided.

Had to wait for service as salesman was on phone. The employees were friendly, professional, and quick upon service.

We waited over an hour and a half for someone to stock the wood we needed. 4 associates all said they were but none of them did.

Ann was helpful in the garden department and a young man who has been only working there one month was very kind and personable and helped load 13 sod rolls in my car! Great service!!

The soil i bought is a great brand and affordable price for sure and quality and excellent, efficient check out with cashier.

I was looking for an upright freezer and had some fairly detailed questions--Kevin in appliances answered ALL of my questions in a timely manner with detailed (and correct!) product and technical information. It is rare to get this kind of service--more like shopping in Nordstrom! I could order with confidence and got the best product for my needs and situation. Thank you!

The store clerks at the The Dalles, Or 97058 store friendly always ask if I've found everything ok or if I need help

John in plumbing is AWESOME. We live a long drive from the Dalles Home Depot. John had the experience to help me get what I needed without having to make a lot of trips to the Dalles to get what was needed.

The People at the pro desk were great. Very helpful and seemed genuinely concerned about my needs.

Customers are not required to wear masks upon entering or shopping. All employees wore masks. Store shows little respect for community health or employee safety. Out of many products in paint dept.

My wife and I love shopping at The Dalles store and always enjoy the quieter and more peaceful aspect of it.

The store is always clean and well organized. They always seem to have an ample supply and selection of the items I am shopping for and the staff is always friendly and helpfull.

I had a stack of cinder blocks fall on me today. Two employees came to clean up the isle & load what I needed on my cart. I was asked if I was ok but nothing else to acknowledge what could have been much more than scrapes & bruises. The blocks had been stacked overhanging the edge of a pallet where it was an accident waiting to happen when the first block was removed. I talked to an asst. manager a little later & nothing had been reported to him. Very poor safety practice and lack of reporting.

Has a good selection but be wary of the accuracy of the information you get from the employees. Sometimes an "I don't know" instead of a guess is what you need.

The Home Depot store in The Dalles ,OR, is a great store. It is run by folks that are courteous, friendly, helpful and most are very knowledgeable. The store seems always well stocked and have what a person might be looking for, it is neat and well lit. The Pro Desk is in my mind, exceptional. Steve at the Pro Desk , though always busy, is helpful , friendly, and knowledgeable, on most everything one needs info on for construction projects. His supporting crew run by Maria, (at least last year she was the one in charge last year) are also very very good. It makes doing business there easy !! My ONLY drawback to the store is that for me it is 50 miles one way, door to door. I have been in many Home Depot stores in WA, OR, and CA,,,this store is Tops !!

Elizabeth was very helpful cutting the wire for my hot tub project, even though it wasn't her dept.

I wasn't sure where to find my list of items. I found employee Christie, and she knew exactly where I needed to go and even asked if I would like her to take me. Perfect service!

Buying flooring from this store is an absolute nightmare. We recently signed up online to get our house measured and an estimate for hardwood floors. The scheduling was a breeze and $50 seemed like a deal, however the day of the install we didn't receive a call at the appointed time. We got a call 3 hours later, then a text, then late arrival after that. The person doing the measuring was professional. We then went to the store to pick out or flooring, but 75% of the samples were out of stock, so there was no way to bring it home. Meanwhile someone from the online flooring team in Michigan is emailing daily that we need to pick our product. She was less than helpful, then some guy from the Dalles calls daily while I'm working, I finally call him back and he says he needs to go to lunch and can't take the call now. I asked the online flooring person to pick any product between $4-5 SF and give us an estimate, she says she would be glad to do that. A week later still no estimate, and she repeats she needs a product. I showed her where 5 days ago she said she'd give us an estimate, and my $50 is refunded with no further communication or explanation. Terrible customer service to say the least. It cost me a days worth of my time and having a stranger in my house during COVID with no estimate ever provided - what an invasion of privacy and failure to deliver Home Depot.

As usual I was in a hurry so I was running around probably costing myself more time then I was saving. I decided to ask the doors and window guy if he might know where the cabinet hardware was and sure as surup on pancakes he told me the isle and exactly where on the isle they were. He was very helpful and the store was immaculately clean. Even the carts.

When this store first opened it seemed like everyone was in the learning stage. Now it has been our experience that they now have trained knowledgeable caring people.

Some of the shelves were empty but it was clean and the people that worked there were very helpful

So helpful and will return love this store
