Two cashiers, Tonya and Amanda were extremely helpful to make sure my husband a US Vet received the discount deserved and explained the newer H.D. app to apply the app in future purchases!

Cashier smelled like alcohol. Can’t find anything because everything in the store is locked up like a third world country

Employees at the vernon hills location are courtesy and extremely help and professional. Its the best Home Depot in the greater Chicagoland area. I've been to most of them.

Have to be available for a 12 hour window for delivery, they will not narrow it until the night before, however customer is required to give 48 hour notice. Not acceptable

I had a difficult project and Jim in tool rental walked me through it and made it possible. I would not have been able to do it without him and confidence I got from him.

this is the 3rd time I have ordered on line and did store pick up and was there for over 1 hour. this time they cancelled 1 part, so I went in the store to find a replacement, only to find 2ea of the item I ordered on the shelf. the staff at this Home Depot do not care!

I bought a Christmas tree my mom has been wanting, but was out of store everywhere and and Carlos asked his managers if we could get a display which we were able buy it. We arrived to pick it up and he was so friendly and helped us put the tree in the car. My mom is so happy with her Christmas tree!

I went to Home Depot to purchase a section of plywood to fit for our Thanksgiving table I needed to extend the table slightly I couldn’t find a piece, the correct size and the gentleman there said the one I had to cut off 4 inches was impossible for him, because it would pop off the rail of the saw he was very helpful and said if I went over to the rental department, they might be able to help me trim it. He was really kind gave me all the proper advice directions to get there. When I arrived at the gentleman, there couldn’t have been nicer and treated me so kindly they trimmed it rang up the invoice for me. It was all beautifully done I was in and out in 20 minutes.

You can really tell that the management style is exceptional, because of the way you are treated and taken care of while in the store. Hats off to the management.

I will tell you I always love shopping at the Vernon Hills Home Depot because no matter what I need or what I’m looking for. Everyone is always so kind and very helpful at getting me in and out of the store so I don’t waste my time looking for stuff when I could be getting projects done so thank you to the entire Home Depot team

I went into the rental department and everyone there was so helpful even that young kid I was kind of worried getting information from. But his advice lead me to have the best time with my job.

I visited the store to purchase an appliance and was greeted by an associate. He was very knowledgeable and explained everything in detail. Later I placed an order over the phone and the customer service at the store was just amazing.

I came in to purchase some plants for outdoor use. David G was very helpful and immediately showed me the area I need to do my shopping and added some education as to which product would be ideal.

I'm told, "no store credit right off the bat". Customer service told me on the phone I'm due a credit. Then after he entered the correct numbers, lo and behold, I got my credit. Then I go to use my credit and I have to jump hoops to get the sale price because somebody put the sign up in front of the wrong plants but he gave the sale price to the pretty lady who got the same plants.

I went to purchase a garage door opener and found one on the floor that scanned with the HD app, but when I went to the register to purchase it was not in the system. The theory is that someone purchase it online then returned it to the store and it was placed on the floor rather than being shipped back to the manufacturer. I spent a half hour with the store staff sorting this out, but ended up with a different but comparable model. The staff then helped arrange the installation, which turned out to be super quick.

Ordered decking through the Pro Desk. Matthew, the Pro Account Sales Associate made the process super smooth and easy! Great customer service. He was a pleasure to work with!

The sections are marked clearly. The staff are kind and helpful. The prices are reasonable. I like most being greeted when I enter the store. It makes me feel welcome!

Matthew at the pro desk always greets me with a warm smile and friendly disposition. He takes the time to explain each step of the process, regardless of whether I am a contractor or not. He ensures that I am satisfied with the outcome and even jokes about making sure my wife likes the colors. He reveled that he enjoys helping people and seeing how much of an impact he can have on their projects. He encourages me to share pictures of the completed deck.

All the employees at this store are nice and extremely helpful. Lisa in particular goes above and beyond in every way. I shop at only this location because of Lisa and the other employees there!

I went to the store to purchase some lithium ion battery for my car remote. Laura, the store manager was there who went above and beyond to help me in opening the battery from the pack and installing the battery in my car remote. Laura from Vernon hills store was simply awesome.... I have never seen such a nice human being. I was extremely happy with her behavior and customer service. She is a true team player and I wish her ALL the BEST

Jim in tool rental was EXTREMELY helpful and went way above and beyond to help me out. He assisted with pro tips on a home project and helped make a perfect cut/sand to a very expensive slab of walnut.

Wife upset? Kids nagging? Need a place to hide from it all and find a new home project?! This is your place! It’s hard to yell at a guy when he’s working haha! Wander the aisles for inspiration and ask Sal or one of the other helpful employees what you need and get on it! It’s hard for me not to spend my whole paycheck here haha

This location had a great lumber selection compared to the other one I frequent. I also got assistance cutting down the lumber that I needed. At the other location, assistance never came, so I got the other things I needed and left.
