    glass block window
It was so nice to be able to purchase whole windows instead of individual glass blocks that require some knowledge or talent to assemble into a whole window. This was the perfect solution to replacing broken traditional basement windows. They provide more security than basement windows & still let in the light. You can't open them but the look is nicer & they provide privacy traditional basement windows do not. It is also nice the windows come in a couple different styles.

This product is a true winner
Having ordered this product without prior experience with it and as an online exclusive, left me somewhat leery. The windows arrived very timely and in good condition. However they were missing the nailing flanges. I called the Home Depot online customer service department and within 4 minutes, the situation was resolved and was told that the missing parts would be here in 4-10 days. They arrived in 3. Great customer service as well.

    Window looks good
This window is well made. Solid construction and easy installation make it a good buy. This window costs half of what buying the block and tracking system would and it looks great when installed.

    block glass windows
I replaced two of my bathroom window with these block glass window. Huge difference! Lets the light in, and also provides privacy. Note you will need some man power, because they are very heavy. But well worth it!

    You Won't Be Disappointed
Needed extra light in bathroom so we decided to install a block window on interior wall of bathroom and utilize the light coming in from laundry room window on other side of wall. My husband didn't use the strips provided but rigged up his own system for installation which didn't take us long to install. We were both surprised how well this block window was made. The window is somewhat heavy but with 2 people installing it's not super difficult. Highly recommend if you're looking for a quick ... read more quality unit to install without all the hassle of hiring a tiler.

    Great product
This is a well-made product. Other reviews have said that the window seems flimsy. Perhaps the manufacturer has upgraded it, but it seems solid to me. The main thing that distinguishes this window from other glass-block windows is the vinyl frame, allowing it to be installed using the nailing strips they provide.

    Glass Block Windows
I installed three glass block windows to replace the original 49 year old single pane basement windows in my home. The most difficult part of the process was removing the old windows which had to be chiseled and cut away from the foundation. After that the installation was a snap. Put the windows in place, level and plumb them up. and motar them in the opening. You'll need help to do this. Great improvement in appearance, light and security over the old windows.

    Better than I expected
Based off of the other reviews we bought three of these windows to replace the old, dated, metal framed ones in our basement. My husband and father in law put all three of these plus one regular window in, in one day. They said they were a breeze! They went right in! The frames of the old windows were cemented into the walls so we had to leave the old frame and cement these windows in, which was kinda what they planned for anyways. We also noticed, compared to the old windows, that these are ... read more much more energy efficient. The old windows you could walk by and feel the heat coming in from the outside. These you feel nothing. They are fantastic! We've even put the little window to good use feeding in the hose for the compressor as they are doing some framing as well. Father in Law loved the ease of the installation and my sister in law is now going to be ordering some for her house as well. Great, great buy! Would recommend 100%.

    Good Quality well built
I purchased one of these windows to replace my existing standard metal/glass basement windows along with 4 others that did not have a vent. Product was well made and the quality of the glass block was very good. I found no defects and while some of the outside shipping boxes were damaged the inside product was very well protected with its own cardboard box and plenty of additional bubble wrap. (Lots of bubble wrap!) Glass blocks were made of very clear & clean looking glass with no internal or ... read more surface defects. TIP: Instructions that came with my windows did not point out that there are two weep holes in the bottom of one side of the frame. These holes must not be covered by frames, caulk or mortar.

Good (standard) glass blockwindow, no instructions
I purchased these windows over other similar windows based on vendor's claims it offered more flexible installation options (nail or silicone, outside or inside). While it does come with optional nailing strips, that's about the only feature included. The window is pretty much standard (no complaints), but the installation instructions are non-existent. The instructions are a sticker on the window that says "can be installed with nailing strips or silicone" and that's about it. I've installed a ... read more couple of dozen windows in my house to date and I still would have appreciated a page or two of installation instructions/hints/suggestions.

    Closet window replacement
At 69 I decided to install these myself. This is one of two windows. Started at 9 am, removing all glass from the old casements and then with a saws all, removed the aluminum frames. Cleaned and wedged 2 new glass block windows in position and cemented joints. You may need a second hand inside to help position and wedge in place. Used 1-60 pound bag of Quickrete Mortar Mix. . Completed at 2 with a good lunch. Some prep work for wedges and spacers the day before. Trimmed inside the following day. ... read more What an improvement. No more cold air this winter. Lets the light in, with privacy. Sorry, I would have taken a before picture if I would have known of this review earlier.

    Much better
Follow Up Review: Received the second window which was much better than the first, with all segments of the block aligning with each other. It appears these windows are constructed too order. Once again the order was received in a timely manner and the window was well protected with bubble wrap. Unfortunately the caulk must not have been dry prior to packaging so the bubble wrap had to be torn and cut off the window, not too big of a deal but a little annoying.

The Perfect Replacement for Builder Grade Basement Windows
The hardest part of this project is determining the exact dimensions of the opening and whether to keep or remove the metal frame from the builder grade windows. The windows look great and were easy to install. A big improvement in energy efficiency, security and appearance.

A good solution for old basement windows
I ordered two units and they arrived in fine shape. The glass blocks, however, are not perfectly aligned with each other. Close enough visually but when fitting the unit into the existing frame, I had to grind the sides (of the frame) to make it wide enough. The slight cant of the blocks was just enough off true to make a bit of grinding necessary. My frame height is about 3/4 inch higher than the unit so that was easier to fix. I temporarily filled it with insulation material. When spring comes ... read more I will install more permanent material top and bottom.
