I made three visits to the store to purchase an appliance. The first time the sales associate was rude and appeared not wanting to be bothered. She was more concerned about answering her cell phone. I walked away and went home.
The second visit I enjoyed excellent customer service. The sales associate was polite and very helpful. Home Depot was experiencing an interruption in IT services (system down) and was unable to process the transaction. However, I was happy with the response from the sales associate (very helpful) and told her I would return when the system comes up...just call me. She called and on the third visit I completed my purchase. I then walked into the Garden section and purchased yard products. The sales associate in the Garden Center was very helpful even though inventory was stacked next to the shelves without access to the products I desired to purchase. She was very helpful and I helped her move the boxes that were in the way (on pallets). Great experience. I enjoy Home Depot most of the time, but again, I sometimes believe there are staffing issues, unable to find an associate to assist. However, I will continue to visit and shop at Home Depot.
