Respectful customer service
Will make you feel like you’re doing something wrong when u return product here. What is wrong with this product? They said it is dirty and can’t be returned. Devin and Wi are acts like i am returning a million dollar worth of products and it has to follow strict guidelines. will never buy anything anymore but I rather drive to addition 5 miles for better service.

Young gentleman named Kevin patiently assisted me on the last hour prior to closing. He gets 6 stars!
Let's stop calling your self checkout self checkout. Until it becomes self checkout, we will call it We Scan U Pay! We Scan U Pay gets 1 star for being so bitter about not scanning my clients' faucet. This area of the store really bugs me. Maybe the employees see me as a substance user because honestly I think they make you guys act this way.
Loss Prevention impressed me that night. I was going to say maybe they wasn't working that night, but they were. I'm hoping they finally recognize me as a customer, well at least some of them. The visits when I had extra time, I would the them all over the store. When you guys are trying to be discreet, stop doing a double take on me when you see me and then chose to come down my aisle. If you chose to come down my aisle, then your eyes should come to rest at an item.....not rest at me. Of course you'll look at me or whoever is in aisle but if you is a customer your eyes last view should be the shelves. Do a 1 look and hit the next aisle and come back around. Take it how you want it. Loss Prevention gets a big improvement at 4 stars that night.

Exceptional Customer Service!
I was at The Home Depot in Kent on April 19, 2024 at around 10am. All around, from the Pro-Desk gentleman I spoke to on the phone (I apologize for not remembering your name), Ana from flooring, and The "Person" from Garden, whom I didn't meet them or get their name, but helped facilitate it from somewhere behind the scenes. They were probably doing great things elsewhere or taking a well deserved break. Ana from Flooring never wavered from her focus on locating the product for me. Not once did she look frustrated or try to make any excuses for not locating what I wanted. She only expressed the fact it wasn't her area, to let me know she may not readily find the product. She ended up getting help from "the" Garden employee. She executed the task I requested of her with a pleasantly determined and focused demeanor. I appreciate the fact that she was away from her area of responsibility and demonstrated no rush to remedy the situation to here favor. In my opinion, she went above and beyond what most employees I've encountered would have been willing to do. Outstanding customer service from Ana!

staff is very helpful
Devon is an asst manager who spent a considerable amount of time helping me get a cancelled online order refunded to my credit card. Because he's a store manager, he knows the order wasn't really his store's "problem." But, he still didn't want to send me away to figure out how to deal with the issue via a corporate phone number or something. He persisted through a bunch of technical issues and coordinated with the IT support team or back-end accounting team or something like that to ensure the refund went through. I really appreciate the Kent store team going above-and-beyond in this case (especially Devon) and it definitely encourages me to continue going there.
Thanks to Devon and the rest of the crew at the Kent HomeDepot.

Home Depot has everything for all home owners with a great quality and a great price that you will not be able to find in a deferent store.

Great customer service makes for a great store
All the employees acknowledge me with a smile, hello, or offer of assistance. I can always find help at this store in a timely manner. They all seem to have an extra-mile attitude that makes it pleasant to shop there.

They have a good supply of PVC boards but cannot cut them. Getting the boards home was interesting.

Helpful People
I had trouble getting the flooring I needed at multiple stores. Tammy and other reps at this store were super helpful with determining the actual inventory on hand versus what was reported on homedepot.com so that I could get the quantity needed and stop having to order from other stores only to have the orders cancelled due to inventory discrepancies. So grateful for the helpful people at this store versus others.

I’ll take you going to help Depot is always an adventure. Finding or not finding what you’re looking for and finding or not finding people to help you. I had a wonderful experience today and had both helpful employees assisting me with locating what I needed and a very helpful and engaging cashier at checkout.

Marlene's prejudice was definitely showing- Kent, WA
Our Sales Cashier Marlene was not the most personable. We checked out in the garden center. There was one Caucasian lady ahead of us. Marlene was so outgoing with this customer, personable, polite, all smiles to this lady ahead of us, giving extra attention, helping her find the best deal on her hose purchase and the moment we got to her, her entire dimmer changed. No smile, was not polite, was short, quick, rude, was it because we are an interracial couple? Was it because we are lesbians? It was 100% like a light switch with Marlene. Marlene's prejudice was definitely showing. You call this customer service?

PLEASE TRAIN THE CHASERS NOT TO PUSH THE BUTTON ON THE CARD READER FOR THE CUSTOMERS.
I was checked out by the cashier Deborah at HD Kent location. After I paid with a credit card, I was going to choose "YES" when the card reader asked me if I would like to have an email receipt. Then Deborah DECIDED to choose "NO" for me without asking me. Then I told her that I would like to have the email receipt. She said she can't help me, I need to go to Customer Service. Okay, Deborah, if you didn't choose "NO" for me, I don't have to go through extra trouble to go to Customer Services and waste time getting myself an email receipt.
I also asked her why she choose "NO" for me. Her response: "MAJORITY of people just stand there and don't do anything." EXCUSE ME, I was putting my credit card away and before I had a chance to choose my receipt options, you chose for me without asking my opinion.
There was no line behind me. It was around 4 pm on Thursday afternoon. It was not busy. So, why is she rushing the customers? Why is she choosing options for the customers?
Also, it is too bad that I am not the "MAJORITY of people". But that means this is not the first time she did it. Maybe others appreciated her action but I really don't like that and wish to have the email receipt.
You might ask if she apologized to me, yes and no. She said: " I am sorry BUT the majority of people just stand there..." That's not sincere and she definitely didn't feel sorry nor she think she inconvenienced someone. Also, with the sarcastic voice and smile, I really don't see how anyone would react to her response well.
You might wonder why am I upset about this little thing, let me explain:
1. I tend to lose my paper receipt, so I always choose the email receipt.
2. I don't think cashiers should touch the card reader for the customers without the customers asking for help OR the cashiers ask the customers' opinions first.
3. Just Customer Service in general, with a sarcastic voice and insincere apology won't help with solving the situation.
I really hope this would bringt to your attention and improve your store's customer service.

Some were nice & others were not
Kudos to Andrew and Raul went the extra mile, helping us load our car so diligently, along with a couple others in the store who were helpful. Others were just in a hurry to go home. I’m not sure they understand that we wanted to go home just as much as they did; and their kind help would’ve got us out as fast as possible.
