Don't buy Home depot gift cards because they don't treat it like cash. I bought a water softener system at HomeDepot.com using Home Depot gift cards. The store cancelled the order due to no inventory even though the website sated otherwise. The cancellation email stated that they will send an email with the reimbursement, but no email was received. I called customer service and was told I had to go into the store to get my refund. At the store, I was told I can only get a store credit (which I cannot use on the Home Depot website) or a check in the mail that will take 21 days to receive. I asked for the refund to be put back on gift cards (like what I originally had), but the cashier and the manager said they can't do that. Useless! What is the use of a large store credit when the store doesn't have what you need? So, with a check by mail, they are holding my money hostage for 21 days. I thought gift cards are like cash. Not at Home Depot! Skip the gift cards!!! Is this the punishment for shopping online???

The store has an exceptionally friendly, helpful staff. Searching for products is not always easy, especially since the front aisles are numbered sequentially from right-to-left but the rear aisles continue from left to right. In days past there were few employees throughout the store who could answer questions & help me find things. That has gradually changed as staffing levels seem to have increased with more employees in the aisles where the customers are. A store map, such as Orchard Supply Hardware used to have (before it closed), would help. I am not dramatically short, but many times I cannot reach items on high shelves.

This is my favorite Home Depot location. The staff here is always friendly and helpful. I don't know how are they doing it, but there is always pleasant atmosphere at this store. Good job! And thank you :)

This is my favorite home improvement store. The employees are just awesome, they always go above and beyond. This makes me come back to Home Depot for my project needs.

This is my first visit to the San Ramon store, and it was a great one. The store is quite clean, not easy for a high volume business. There were several associates available. While all were busy helping somebody, there was almost no wait for assistance. I was looking for a 'Clearance' item, which I find are usually in short supply and often employees aren't always familiar with them. The associate 'Michaela' was extremely helpful. She knew immediately what I was talking about and when the display was empty, set about finding more. It took a lot of checking various lockers and stacks of boxes, but moving fast and efficiently, not giving up, she found what I needed. I used the self checkout, which had an easy to use UI, so I was done and out quickly. I recommend this store highly. However, the food 'deli" outside, not so much. The prices are ridiculously high, and the food not at all enjoyable. I had a chili cheese dog and chips. The chili had no trace of chili powder or equivalent, meat was scarce, and the cheese was very bland white substance. Go for the DIY experience, avoid the 'deli'.

Been shopping at this store for decades. Great place to find what you need at good prices. The friendly knowledgeable staff makes any shopping experience very enjoyable. Great promotions and sales. High quality merchandise.

Best garden center for value and quality in our area. They go through stock very quickly so don't hesitate if you see something you like. Everything is well organized and clean. Getting help in the DYI side is hot or miss. I have had the best people and advise in store, sometimes it is tough to find someone to help.

Good Store

Always a great experience with this store. I am doing outdoor lightning project currently and Gregg at the store has made all the difference with his suggestions and knowledge. He is really really helpful.

Everyone was super helpful today. Just finished remodeling my home and building a shed. Bought lots of stuff st Home Depot! Bought a new house 2 weeks ago and am now remodeling it!!! Another 5 figure day at Home Depot!
