I stopped shopping at Home Depot after seeing an employee with the "America Was Never Great" cap. However, on this last trip to Lowe's, I wanted to get a 5 gallon container of elastomeric roof coating shaken before buying it. They have done this several times before for me. This time, nobody was at the paint department and I had to have someone paged. An employee came and read the label and said this type of coating does not require shaking. I said the manufacturer recommends doing so online, Lowe’s (this location!) has done it for me several times, and could he please go ahead and put it in the shaker? He went to the back for a few minutes, came back and said the manager said their shaker was not designed for the container. I thanked him, left the cart sitting there, walked out to my vehicle, then drove to the Home Depot a half mile further down the street. I got the same container of coating (with the same exact price) and took it to the paint counter. The employee at the paint counter was talking to another customer but said “Excuse me a second Ma’am. Sir, did you want that shook?” I said yes, so he said “No problem” as he grabbed it, dropped it into the shaker, pushed the button, and it got shook as he continued helping the other customer. They finished at about the same time the shaker finished, so he put it back on my cart and asked if there was anything else I needed. I said not at this time, but that I’ve got a big project coming up shortly and I know where I’ll be getting the supplies from!
