1 in. x 6 in. x 8 ft. Premium Kiln-Dried Square Edge Whitewood Common Board is rated 2.6 out of 5 by 8.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from swedish 1x pine boards Sappy and extremely soft. Cuts leave frayed edges even when using the highest quality blades on high quality saws. Recommend you buy american pine, or radiata if clean accurate cut lines count. Also, priced very high for its quality. Buy heavily from home depot and am generally very pleased, but HD blew it buying this stuff. I'd be curious to know the species so i can avoid it forever. It is clearly labeled made in sweden so its easy to avoid. (Nothing against the Swedes), this just ain't great pine. And, I'm curious why the label states: "made in Sweden". I could see "grown", harvested, or "shipped" from; but made?

Sweden and some other Nordic countries buy logs from Russia and Eastern European countries then convert them to lumber and other items. The stuff is cheaper than Western European lumber (Not much of that left) and can be lower quality. It's possible that the raw logs come from that region and go through Sweden to get cut and milled. Sweden sounds better than Russia, eh?
