Customer Questions & Answers

are the edges of this glass smooth so that it can be used as a table top?

Asked by: wondering
Just to update this and expand on what Chris said, as well as clarify what they mean by table top - as far as I know these should not be used for their exposed edges. Keep in mind, unpolished edges can be dangerous and sharp, and you should handle them with care. Also, if they are unsupported they are very thin and can break if something bumps or drops them just right. If you're replacing a recessed section, give this a try, if its edges will be exposed - I would advise against it.

Is this strong enough to use as a window to a snake enclosure

Asked by: Jeff
NO, plus it is plate glass, NOT Tempered. When Plate Glass breaks, razor sharp pieces are left behind which would be deadly to any animal.

What size glass top do you get for a 40 inch round table

What size glass top do you get for a 40 inch round table
Asked by: Jojo
If the frame is 40" in diameter, then a minimum 48" round top would work. You could go as large as a 60" top, but without knowing the strength of the base, I would not recommend it. To confirm what you should get: 48" Round TEMPERED piece of Glass.
