Customer Questions & Answers

Does this pipe come in 5 feet length or can I have someone in the home depot department cut a 10 foot piece in half?

Asked by: Tony
You should have the tool but if you are patient and courteous, I have never had a problem getting things cut down to my specifications. Cutting emt tubing you must deber the edges so that it dose not scrape the wire bare.

Do tees exist for conduit

or do I need to thread it and use another type of metal tee? I plan to make a grape trellis/carport out of it. Thanks.
Asked by: ct
Yes it is called a junction box. you can not get 4 strands of wire to make the bend to use a tee like it was for water.

Conduit cutting

If I buy 10 feet 3/4" conduit, can I have it cut to desired lenght
Asked by: tino
My Home Depot will cut it for you. They've cut everything from landscape timbers to EMT for me...pretty much anything they sell they will cut. Store #4906 East Madison has the best customer service of any of the hardware/home improvement stores in or around the whole city. So if others are saying no its not that the store can't its that they are choosing not to. I guess the only way to know for sure is to call your local store and ask.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent EMT and cost effective for small commercial applications I installed about 100 linear feat of 3/4" EMT conduit inside my company's workshop. The 3/4" was utilized to for multiple runs of CAT5 cabling (total of 4 pulls) and installed into a metal outlet box. I was able to use mounting brackets and couples (also from HD) to complete the installation in a very professional manner and at a savings for my company.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Used as support posts for deer fence. Commercial products were just too expensive, so I used these as posts around my garden to support a deer fence. So far so good. Maybe some day I'll actually use these products for their intended purpose!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product I fabricated a safari rack for my 4x4 chevy campertop out of 3/4" conduit and the 3/4" 90° elbows. Very easy to cut using a standard plumbing copper tubing cutter and was very easy to weld with a mig welder. Paints easy to with minal prep. Alll said and done I built a total custom 6'x 4' safari rack for around $20 that would have cost at least $300 to $409 from a discount outlet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best 3/4" EMT in town! This conduit was 10' long and 3/4" in diameter as specified. It was strait and had a hole down the center to make installing wire easier.
