I stained my deck this summer with this product. It was a lot of work as I used the cleaner, the stripper and gave it a sand bit I am very pleased with the results. Yes I would recommend it. I used some other brand of stain before but it started to peel off the a few months after but not the Behr.

First I want to say I followed all the preparation instructions to the letter. I cleaned the deck twice with proper deck cleaner let the deck dry for a day before applying Behr Premium Weather Proofing as per the instructions on the can.
I applied it in August of 2013 and it looked amazing but once the snow melted in April the deck looked terrible peeling everywhere except under our deck box where the snow didn't touch it.
I have used the Behr water proofing before and loved it but I bought premium instead because they didn't have the colour we wanted in the water proofing.
Behr Premium Weather Proofing seemed like it didn't penetrate the wood where as the cheaper Behr Water Proofing was more of a oil stain that penetrated the wood and wore more evenly over a few years.
After reading the reviews it seems to work fine in warmer climates in the southern United States but in Canada and northern States the reviews aren't good.
I would not buy this product if you live anywhere that you have snow for several months over the winter.

I have a 12 X 10 wood deck in my backyard that was badly weathered. This wood stain together with their all-in-one wood cleaner made my deck look amazing!

In the summer of 2012 used the product on two large decks and a 25 foot wooden bridge on our property. Preparation took three days and applying two coats, two more days. Loved the look when finished. Looked good last summer, and over this winter but this spring it began to flake off in strips about one inch wide and two to five inches long. Now 95+ percent of the deck looks good but about 5% looks terrible as the product came off right down to the bare wood. I am uncertain as to how to fix the problem at this point.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by LUCKY AMAZING STAIN!
I reconditioned our perimeter fencing & man does it look awesome! WIth all the torrential rains we've had here in the Houston area in the last month it really put it to the test. The water beaded right up & never soaked into the boards. I pressure washed the surfaces & applied 2 coats of stain for consistent coverage. The color was exactly what we wanted and it really is protecting our investment. Thanks Behr and Home Depot!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Jackie Product Performed as stated by Behr on the Instructions
After reading many of the reviews for this product, I was a bit skeptical to try it. I have experienced just about all the deck finishes out there, and not one really satisfied me with it's color and/or results. I do agree with most, the color in the can is usually different once applied to your decking. And usually not for the better either. So, do a small sample first.
The key here is the prep work. You MUST use the Stain/Stripper Remove with a pressure washer regardless of what you may think is on your deck. It makes a huge difference once you apply the stain/paint/ or clear waterproofer. Takes a little longer to do, but you will be glad you did. Once that is done, apply the Deck Cleaner/Brightner Product. This also neautrilzes the wood and allows it to accept the stain. You can actually hose this solution off with a regular garden hose if you do not have a pressure washer. And if using the pressure washer, just cut back on the flow coming from the wand. Allow to dry for at least 24 hrs. of fairly warm weather before applying the stain.
Apply the Stain using a 4" Oil Brush. Yes, a brush...I know, takes longer but you can get into all the spaces between the boards and it penetrates into the wood better. They sell brush holders in which you can attach to a painting extenstion pole to help make it easier, so you are not on your knees the entire project. Easier on the back too. :)
Once the stain is applied, allow the entire 72 hours for curing as the instructions state. This is a must!! If not, you will feel that tacky feeling under your feet. Also, the weather has to be perfect for at least 3 days. 60 - 80 degrees seems to be best. I only applied one coat to my deck, and it is 15 yrs. old and looks brand new now. No need to apply a second coat. Usually the second coat ruins it anyway. Just does not absorb into the wood and sits on top making it a complete tacky mess that never seems to dry.
I also had mine tinted to the Honey Gold color and it turned out beautifully. So, take the time to prep your deck right, and I think you will find the product does work acccording to the manufacturer's specs.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Kib Best Weatherproofing I've ever used
This product was easy to apply and the best I've ever used even over Sherwin Williams used initially. We used a roller and a brush (I would used an extension stick or rod for both). You need the brush to "back brush" for a smooth application and to get between boards. As the directions say don't use in the sun and one more thing don't apply it to a warm deck because it's harder to apply when the wood is warm. It brought the wood back to life again and looks better than brand new. We selected the "natural" color because we thought it would look more like the original color but it actually came out darker than the "natural" wood sample shown on display in the store but it made it look like brand new wood. It really does a great job repelling the water when it rains and it's not slippery.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by MaxPlanck58 Strongly Recommend Behr!
This went on my 25 year-old, badly weathered deck with ease and transformed it to a appealing and attractive condition and extended its life as well. I also called Behr customer service for some pointers and they were a big help!
