I stained my deck this summer with this product. It was a lot of work as I used the cleaner, the stripper and gave it a sand bit I am very pleased with the results. Yes I would recommend it. I used some other brand of stain before but it started to peel off the a few months after but not the Behr.

First I want to say I followed all the preparation instructions to the letter. I cleaned the deck twice with proper deck cleaner let the deck dry for a day before applying Behr Premium Weather Proofing as per the instructions on the can.
I applied it in August of 2013 and it looked amazing but once the snow melted in April the deck looked terrible peeling everywhere except under our deck box where the snow didn't touch it.
I have used the Behr water proofing before and loved it but I bought premium instead because they didn't have the colour we wanted in the water proofing.
Behr Premium Weather Proofing seemed like it didn't penetrate the wood where as the cheaper Behr Water Proofing was more of a oil stain that penetrated the wood and wore more evenly over a few years.
After reading the reviews it seems to work fine in warmer climates in the southern United States but in Canada and northern States the reviews aren't good.
I would not buy this product if you live anywhere that you have snow for several months over the winter.

I feel that Home Depot & Behr owe me!
Easy to apply is all that I can say. I took care in preparing my deck, over 1500 sf (which isn't all of it, only the back and one side). First was a bleach mixture then later Restore deck wash along with pressure washing. After all was completly dry I applied the weatherproofing. It took over 5 days to apply and was all for nothing. I did this last fall and by early spring it was peeling and flaking.
Four (4) years guarantee for decks? It didn't make 8 months!!!!
I will NOT reccomend nor wii I use this product again.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by firsttimewood Very easy to apply. Worked well for me on pressure treated pine.
My experience was positive using this product on pressure treated pine. It goes on very very easy. The wood was new pressure treated pine that had been exposed for SIX MONTHS before applying the stain. I only pressure washed the wood a week prior to applying the stain. I did no other prep even though the directions and outside sources highly recommend using a wood wash and conditioning treatment before staining. Maybe the color tones would have been more even if I had done that. Can't speak to the longevity since it's only been on 2 weeks. I posted a before and after picture to show how it colors pressure treated pine. I would use this again, hope it lasts.

I really like the color, tone, & texture of this stain. It's super easy to apply (the second coat is a breeze). I would recommend this to anyone looking for a lovely transparent stain. I used this on my 6 year-old deck a few days after using BEHR Premium All In One Wood Cleaner. The result was a gorgeous, even cedar tone stain that made the deck look vibrant and new. I applied the second coat a day after applying the first coat - something came up and I couldn't finish the entire job in one day. I was afraid this would affect the results in a negative way. Luckily, everything turned out beautifully and I am really in love with my deck. I can't comment on longevity since the results are only 2 days old, but I love the ease of application and the gorgeous color. Ohh and clean-up is a snap -- it washes off with soap & water!

Right out of the box, it’s ready to use. It’s recommended for wood substrates for properly prepared new to slightly weathered unsealed exterior wood that has a 0-5 year exposure. You must prep the area before you apply the stain to achieve best out of it. I power washed the area with power wash soap to make sure no dirt or debris is left on the surface. This stain gave our 3 years old deck a new life. It’s very easy to apply and dries quickly. The color in the picture on the box is a bit lighter than the actual color once you apply. I used a paint gun to spray an even layer of stain which worked out great. Two coats were applied with 2 hours of gap between each coat. End result made me pleased. Wood grains are still visible giving the wood a warm natural look. Since I stained my deck, there have been lots of heavy pours and continuous beating from the sun light but its holding pretty well. A great product that makes your deck look beautiful again.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Treetrimmer Second application of Behr Natural Tone Cedar weatherproofing
We put our first application on all wood of new deck last fall right after construction. Applied second coat to deck floor and steps after thorough cleaning on 6-5-2012. Entire deck has turned out absolutely beautiful. Application a breeze. Cleanup easier than cleaning up after doing latex paint job.. We couldn't be more satisfied.
