Hello leanne,
Thanks for your question. Our No. 63 Wood Cleaner won't "bleach" the wood per se and it won't change the color of an existing coating. However, it is designed to return bare wood to its original color. It's also a necessary prep step since it opens up the pores of the wood to promote adhesion. It can be used on bare wood or wood with an existing coating on it. Best wishes for your Read More

Sometimes I have to park under some redwood trees and right now the trees are very stressed (drought in California) and their droppings are very acidic. The stains are very hard to remove. Will using this be safe on my car paint?

Thanks for your question, and sorry to hear about the stains on your car. We wouldn't recommend any of our prep items or coatings on a car. Specifically, our No. 63 Wood Cleaner shouldn't be used. Answer:
Hi Dannywfd,
Thanks for writing in! It's not recommended to mix any other chemicals to this product. To maximize the cleaning benefits, I recommend using it at full strength and applying it at the lower spread rate (200 square feet per gallon). Hope this helps, and good luck on your project! Best,
Jeanette P.

Hi cdg,
Thanks for your question! Yes, you can wait 3 weeks to apply your wood stain. If the surface gets dirty during this time though, it would be best to clean the surface again. Good luck with your project! - Sara

Answer:
I don't foresee any problem unless the rain brings a substantial amount of runoff to your deck that would deposit stains from minerals, etc. that you wouldn't want sealed into your deck.

Rated 3.9 out of 5 by 268 reviewers.
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by I used this product diluted as directed as well as concentrated & it didn't perform great on a heavy weathered deck. It did lift some of the stuff, but when I used power washer after this cleaner that's what made the difference. This might be ok for some mildly weathered, however it requires a lot of pressure to get stuff off, so I would skip this & use a power washer right off the bat. Wasted the entire weekend believing this product would do what it claimed it would. October 25, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Easy to apply and got job done Used Home Depot spayer to apply by mixing 1:1 with water (one gallon solution plus one gallon water). Very easy to apply and got the job done quickly. September 17, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Used this to clean my deck and clean my house I used this to clean my deck and then diluted it down and used it to clean my metal pole barn and garage doors and vinyl siding. Just spray it on and let it sit, almost never needs scrubbing but it is safe on colors. August 31, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very good The wood was weathered and filthy, but this cleaner made it look like new. October 25, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Cleaning wood garage doors Product mixes 1 to 1 and cleans like gang busters. We had 2 double, 1 single, and 2 wooden entry gates to clean for staining. We first tried power washing...so so. then we tried this cleaner with the long handled stiff brushes and with a little elbow grease they came out unbelievably good. October 18, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Does the job right. All-in-one Wood Cleaner is a fine product for removing dirt, grime, mold and moss from your deck. It can be an irritant, so apply carefully on a day without a stiff breeze. It's best applied with a sprayer. Don't let it sit too long, you want the surface damp when you scrub it. Wash the surface off after your done scrubbing it to clean off the residue. I wish I had a power washer to take advantage of the cleaner's loosing of mold and debris. My only complaint is I wish it came in a smaller size if you need a second application. September 28, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by wooden railing I tried this wood cleaner. I must say it has restored my wood to almost brand new. My railings are 5-6 years old. I thought i wood have to replace certain areas. As i followed the directions my i couldnt believe the outcome. I highly recommebd this product for restoring any wood to new June 4, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good wood cleaner Easily cleaned a worn cedar deck, did a great job of preparing it for staining. I would recommend this for deck prep, easily done and looked good the next day when dry. October 11, 2016
