Customer Questions & Answers

Is this save to spray on rosebuds or rose flowers?

I bought Rose & Flower Insect Killer to kill aphids, but I think directions say only use when plants are not flowering? Is that correct? What can I use on rosebuds and rose flowers? In addition to green aphids, I have tiny white bugs, about 1/16" long straight white bugs. Are they aphids or mites? Spraying flowers with strong water spray knocks them and aphids off, but they come right back,

do they carry this product on the guam store

Asked by: joepep69
Bayer Advanced products are available at home improvement chains such as Lowe's as well as mass merchants such as Wal-Mart. Also most nurseries and local hardware chains such as Ace Hardware, True Value, Home Depot, Farm and Fleet, Fleet Farm, Osh, Costco, Menards, and Sear's Orchard Supply carry the Bayer products. If the stores do not have the product then it is a possibility for the store manager to special order the product since they decide what to carry based on local demand. If you are still unable to locate the product, we would suggest checking with online retailers. Unfortunately, Bayer does not sell direct or have a specific dealer locator.

Does the Bayer Rose & Flower Insect Spray expire and where (besides the label) can I find directions for use?

I purchased the above-mentioned product in hopes of killing fungus gnats. I never used it for that purpose and now I want to use it for other insect on and around my HOUSE PLANTS. The label containing the directions for use has worn/weathered off. Thanks - Kathy J.

24 oz. Ready-to-Use Rose and Flower Insect Killer is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 15.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from It worked My rose bushes were getting infested by different kind of leaf eating bugs and they were inhibiting the growth of the plant. I sprayed this on the bush and within a week I could see the difference. The bush was growing bigger and could see lots of roses blooming. I followed up with another round of spraying within 3 weeks of the first application and could be happier.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So good, I DID recommend! I had a problem with Sri-Lanka lef notcher weevils... they are very damaging. They are eating everything in site! I've tried EVERYTHING: all-in-one spray from another brand, all-in-one concentrate from Bayer, squishing in the evening... NOTHING worked! I used this product and a few days later, I started seeing little white carcasses around my garden. FINALLY! Now they aren't even around my roses! I will buy this again because it's the only thing that works and it lasts for quite a while! I won't have to spray for another 30 days!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Does not work I bought this product to kill the caterpillars eating my petunias. I picked off all the blossoms so as not to kill the bees and then sprayed twice in one week to make sure i got them all. After the blossoms came back the caterpillars immediately chomped them up again! I try to pick off the caterpillars but they are really hard to see. Last night I found two , put them on the drive way and literally drowned them in this spray! They just crawled away. Did not even slow them down. So So disappointed. I dont know what to try next. Just wasted my money on three bottles!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works almost immediately When I got home with the Bayer Rose and Flower insect killer, I noticed the aphids just staying still while feeding off my Rose bush. Not even 5 minutes after spraying this product, I noticed them moving around in a frenzy trying to "escape". About 2 minutes after that, I noticed them "dropping dead" off the bush. Today is Day 1. I will rate again in a week or so to see how it holds up. So far, so good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The only product that can handle aphids I have tried many products and treatments, including homemade and organic to treat my calibrachoa for aphids, and this is the only one that works. From now on I won't use anything else. Great price too

Rated 5 out of 5 by from PERFECT FOR WHITE FLY INVESTATION ON GARDENIAS! DO NOT BUY ALL THE B.S. ON LINE ABOUT HOW TO RID YOURSELF OF WHITEFLIES...IT'S ONLY ON THERE TO MAKE THEM LOTS OF $$$$$$$$$! USE THIS ON YOUR DRY BUSHES OF GARDENIAS, WAIT 24 HOURS, APPLY A 2ND TIME AND THE 3RD DAY GO OUT AND SHAKE THE SHRUBS AND SEE IF ANY TAKE FLIGHT! IF SO...HIT IT AGAIN...IF NOT...WALK AWAY AND SMILE! :) July 2015

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointed The directions say not to apply to flowers, yet the Japanese beetles are covering the flowers, not eating the leaves. How are you supposed to get rid of the Japanese beetles that are on the day lily blossoms and eat the petunia buds?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Used this on my African Violets for thrips I used this on my African Violets for thrips, after talking with the garden supervisor of my store. I disbudded all of my plants and isolated the offender but all of my plants were sprayed. I only had to do one application to get rid of the buggers. I pulled it out again yesterday because I have a plant with mealybugs and this also works on them. Use it outside because it isn't good to breathe but it's an excellent product.
