Answer:
This is a sand color but can be painted. However, no way I'd use this for a countertop because of my experience with the product.
You'd be best off using an epoxy putty that is more water resistant and flexible for that kind of surface. You could also try a white bondo that is used for car repair, that would probably work a lot better

4 oz. White Plastic Wood Solvent Wood Filler is rated 2.3 out of 5 by 22.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Two bd experiences Today I bought a tube of this to use to fill some cracks in my deck. As I squeezed the tube, it basically blew up in my hand. It was of no use. I bought the same product about a month ago and it was fine. A year or so ago, I tried the same product in a can. It was dry off the shelf. Years ago, this was a reliable product. Not so much so now it seems. You also used to be able to get, if I recall correctly, a decent sized tube of the product. All I can find now is around 2 oz tubes.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Messy installed crown molding that was already stained and lacquered to cabinets. Used the walnut Plastic Wood to fill the nail holes and what a mess. This stuff sticks to lacquer like crazy. Impossible to wipe off. My intent was to fill the holes, lightly sand and then hit with stain and buff so as to not have to re-lacquer. Now, I have to wet sand with 400 grit just to get the excess filler off and will have to touch-up spray after finishing to get the sheen back. Any tips on how to avoid such a mess next time? Is there a solvent or something that will take this stuff of lacquer instead of elbow grease?

Rated 2 out of 5 by from I really want to love this This is my second tube. The first was a liquid, or so I thought. I used it to fill in hardware holes, but as I got half way down the tube, the product was really dry. It appears as though the liquid was supposed to be mixed in with the dry material, however, it must have separated while in the store shelf. I kneaded the product before use too, but I guess that didn't work. I just purchased a second tube this morning. Began working on my project, kneaded the tube, pressed the product into the nail hole, and it burst open from the top, aiming for my forehead and hair. I'm just glad it didn't get in my eyes. It's too bad because this product is exactly what I need! Stainable, durable and can be screwed again after it dries. I will give it one more try, but first I will return it back to the store.

I'm a pro woodworker and have used this filler for years. it is difficult to get good results with this product, if you don't know what you're doing, however, if you follow the instructions, you will achieve the desired result. This WILL dry out fast, so keep some acetone handy and CLOSE YOUR CAN EVERY TIME YOU TAKE SOME OUT! Over fill the holes, cracks, seams or whatever you are filling and then sand after it dries THOROUGHLY! If it's wet on the inside it will just wipe off. When sanding, remember: motion is more important than pressure! Use a fine grit (min 220) sand paper and LIGHT pressure. This stuff will sand out like really soft wood. If you don't want it to stick to the surrounding surfaces, tape them off. Mix it well before using it, because it uses a fast evaporating solvent (like Acetone). Once it's dry you can sand or scrape it off. Use a darker tone than your raw wood because it will only stain within limits. "Stainable" refers not to the ability to match the surrounding wood's absorption capabilities (that would be impossible to achieve) but rather to chemical compatibility with solvent based stains. That way, the filler won't repel the stain, like a silicone or epoxy filler would. This is, IMHO, one of the best fillers in the market, but you have to learn how to use it properly. Probably not that easy to use for occasional weekend worriors.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome PRODUCT This stuff IS DIFFICULT to use without some acetone nearby. I used a bit of it and splashed some acetone on it, mixed it up and it is like room temperature butter. It'll smear wherever you want it to, whether it be in a small hair line crack or larger gaps that need to be filled. It will harden and dry super duper fast, but if you cut it with a little acetone it'll soften back up. Make sure you keep the cap on and store it, lid side down!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst wood filler I've used Before first use I had to add acetone to be able to use. I got it to the consistency of peanut butter. The spot that I had to fill was quite small but to make it blend I extended about 3 inches to each side of the area to be repaired before I could get to the midway point the plastic wood that was being spread was drying so quickly that within 1 minute of starting it was unworkable

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Definitely not satisfied I had to match some laminate flooring and the match wasn't perfect so there were some gaps to fill. I filled the gaps with your plastic wood and some of the filling came out after a few days and what was left crumbled. Very unhappy with the results.
