Rated 5 out of 5Â by lupinlady Great! I love it!
Set the temperature once, then each time all you have to do is turn the water on. Once you learn to sweat solder its a piece of cake to install. It can also be installed using threaded fittings but I think soldering it is easier. The instructions were easy to follow with lots of pictures. I did the work myself.

The valve was easy to install and adjust the temp. I also bought the Delta Windmere stainless tub/shower set. Easy to instal and it works like a charm. I also ordered a Sterling tub which unfortunately came in damaged the first time but after the re-order delay it only set me back two weeks in the project. But luckily I have the patience of a Saint so everything went fine. I spent ten years working for the Depot and would go back in a heart beat.

Rated 1 out of 5Â by Plumber Would not recommend to ANYONE
This valve is the newest design by delta, I have been a plumber for 30+ years and delta USED to be my valve of choice. NO LONGER. Reason #1 They used to be American made, now they are made in china.
During my years as a plumber I have made many mistakes, I will admit. But this valve is not what you are looking for!!!
Reason #2 You cannot use anything but copper or iron pipe for the tub spout drop. Pex and wirsbo are the modern more durable answers to the issues with copper and galvanized pipe. If you use Pex or wirsbo the MINISCULE difference in the I.D. of the pipe causes enough back pressure to make your shower dribble while the tub spout is engaged. The engineering team that designed this "wonderful" valve should look into the future and realize that copper and galvanized pipe both corrode and build up scale and will eventually have to be repalced. (Read bust tile and open walls) they should have made the diverter opening larger so that the faucet would operate properly with the modern piping .
