need wood material for repairing dresser drawers

Not sure where or what I need to used. I just need something like sheets of wood glued to use at bottom of drawer.
Asked by: Carmela
Hello Carmela. This is a piece of wood you indicated, that has been glue together similar to the way they make butcher block surfaces. It is a tad thicker than 5/8". There are other thickness and types of wood materials that you can purchase at Home Depot that also may meet your needs. I would suggest visiting the store with your measurements and asking a lumber or contractor sales associate to assist you. The will also be able to cut to sizes what you choose. Charlotte

Customer Reviews

Edge-Glued Panel (Common: 21/32 in. x 18 in. x 6 ft.; Actual: 0.656 in. x 17.25 in. x 72 in.) is rated 3.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Pretty crummy, but srviceable As I'm too lazy to glue together some poplar or pine, I bought this laminated sheet instead. You really have to pick through the pile, moreso than with other HD lumber. I got mine thru online pickup and requested that I hand select a board, as the one they gave me had mold/mildew, gouges, knots and was delaminating at the bottom. That said, i do like the look of a bunch of "shorts" glued together which again, you have to look for, since several of the boards are just long planks glued together. In short, about 1 in 5 boards is even remotely worth the cost.
