The two yellow, although small, have a difference in potential of 240 Volts AC. Read Less

Runs on natural gas or propane. Installation cost me about $1000, but got a real good price from my electrician (good friend). Might cost closer to $1500-$2000 to install. Needed permits for both electrical and gas installation.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good price, acceptable quality I am electrician and we have installed more than 100 in less than a year, I like the performance, virtually dot have to do anything, just change the oil. It is true that we have taken some mechanical problems with some, but in general I like. I recommend it. November 5, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by I love that it will come on automatically when power goes out. The people were wonderful. They answered all my questions, if I didn't understand, they went into depth what my generator will do.They kept my house & outdoor area clean. They said it w/b a full day to install, it was & all areas outside & inside were cleaned before leaving. I can'tell say enough how great full I am. I bought it for safety & security. Thank goodness I haven't had to use it yet. July 14, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice generator extremely happy with my choice. the dealer i used was awesome. he patiently sat down with me and answered all my concerns. he also did not try to up sale me. he gave me the right size unit for what i wanted to cover. the 11k allows me to run about 90% of my home which is more then enough during a power failure. we've used it a couple times and it kicked on without a hitch. only thing i've learned is that periodically you have to make sure all the bolts are tight due to the vibrations of the generator. we did have a small oil leak due to loosened bolts which my installer fixed for a fair fee. June 22, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Outage Insurance We live in a rural area of southeastern Michigan, where power outages are frequent. After installing our 11k Generac, we never have to worry about losing power again. Typically when you lose power it is never a good to be without it, such as getting ready for work, dinner time, or late evening. We first looked at the 8k model, for basic needs, such as lighting, heat, water, stove, refrigerator. But the price difference to go to 11k was not that much, and it allowed us a few extra circuits for convienence. June 23, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A reliable and quality standby generator Our generator is 10 moths old, and has not failed us through several power outages. It is on-line and generating power within minutes of a power loss. I am notified via my smart phone when it goes into it's weekly exercise, and again when it is back on line and ready. It has been a real comfort to know that our house is never without power, especially when we are away. I recommend this generator to anyone looking for a quality product that is reliable, built to last, and easy to maintain. June 22, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Installers opinion I'm a licensed electrician. I've installed the 11kw Generac standby and I can tell you this generator is a beast!! Well worth the investment. November 9, 2015
