As others have noted, the function selection dial is less than intuitive (someone else shares my gripe about "Off" being at the 9:00 o'clock position), and the function labels are small, making them difficult to read in dim light. The readout is nice and legible though. But on the unit I bought the probe connections don't engage consistently when plugged into the meter. I was getting a reading, then nothing, then a reading.... Finally figured out the problem and decided on a solution: return it and get a better quality DMM.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Crossbow Great little meter!
This is great meter for the home handyman and the semi-professional. I really like the orange rubber surround on the case. I haven't had the pleasure of 'drop testing' it yet but I assume it will help in protecting the life of this little guy. Also the orange is a great color to add to your tool box/chest. It's a high-vis orange that not only looks professional, but is easy to find in low-light applications. The integrated kickstand is a nice touch as well.
It wasn't advertised with one, but a back-light would be a nice added feature, other than that I have no complaints.
If you want a device that performs as well as it looks, look no further.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by greylocks Need to carry printed instructions with meter
The meter has all the standard functions and then some: AC / DC voltage, current, resistance, and various other useful features. Unfortunately, the manual dial does not differentiate between them. For example, OFF is at 9 o'clock. At 8:00 and 10:00 the dial has "600" - but no indication of whether its AC or DC. Similarly, resistance is at about 5:30 and is labeled 2M, but there is no ohms symbol on the dial anyplace. It is the first multi-meter I have ever owned that doesn't label the functions. I suppose if one uses it long enough you get used to where things are, but I tend to need my meter in emergency situations and don't want to be confused about what function I have selected. I'll be returning it and replacing it with one that is labeled better.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by estancio Average made-in-china meter.
Bought this because Klein has a long-time reputation for quality tools. Did not work consistently right out of the box. I am holding on to it to see if it improves. Otherwise I will return it and buy a Craftsman for the same price. Although most things with a low price tag are made in China these days, some are higher quality than others. This Klein is only average at best. Not recommended.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Krazmo Good Features but not fully functional
There is a lot to like about this product. It has a lot of features for a good price. Unfortunately, the voltage measurement function does not work. I have tried several times to figure out the problem, but have not been able to get this feature to work. The rest of the functions do work. This is not my first multimeter so I do not think it is operator error. I would just take it back to the store and exchange it, but my local home depot does not carry it in the store. I don't have the time to hassle with getting another one through the mail. I thought Klein was a better company than this and would have better quality control.

Very easy and simple to use for the small home projects that I have at home. Cost is very reasonable. I would recommended having this multimeter on hand for any projects you have around the house
