Product Overview

Loctite Power Grab All-Purpose Clear Construction Adhesive in a squeeze tube is a premium quality, high strength, gap-filling adhesive. This construction adhesive has nine times the tack or instant grab compared to other latex construction adhesives on the market today. It applies white, dries clear, and has an extremely high tack that eliminates the need for nails and screws in many DIY and repair jobs. The adhesive has a very low odor, and requires only soap and water to clean up. This makes it safe, easy to use and environmentally friendly.

Customer Questions & Answers

Does the object being glued have to be held or clamped on to the surface it's being attached to?

I am gluing seashells to lampshades and have been using a glue gun but the shells have a tendency to fall off. Would the all purpose power grab but better? I don't want to have to sit and hold each seashell to the lampshade for the glue to dry. It's an awkward project because most lampshades are slanted. Please advise. Thank you,

I braced the cedar closet lining I was attempted to glue, to apply significant pressure for more than an hour, and yet the lining popped right off. I would not rely on this product.

Will this work on painted drywall?

Asked by: AT
No. I tried to glue cedar closet lining to painted drywall and it did not work at all. I don't know what this works for, if anything, but I wouldn't waste my time with it.

Will it work for the toilet?

Asked by: KB
If its the lid give it a try. Not sure I would use it on the tank or the bottom. The glue is strong but not sure on waterproof in that kind of environment.

Used it to try to glue 1/4" cedar closet lining to painted drywall. Braced it in place to apply lots of pressure for at least an hour. When I removed the braces, the lining popped right off. I have no idea why Loctite makes the false claims it does about this product or why Home Depot carries it. Very disappointing. Will not be buying any Loctite products in the future. Do not use this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is an awsum glue I have been using this glue for about a year now. When you use it with the right materials it is one of the best adhesives out there. I first used it to remount a ceramic towel bar holder, 30 seconds it was holding on its own, a year later its as strong as ever. I have also glued several pieces of ceramic back together with excellent results. Several pieces are back in general use after re-gluing. It sets up quickly, usually 30 seconds to a minute, excess glue washes off with water while its still wet. A strong joint usually in a couple of hours and full strength in 24 hours. I use a lot of different glues depending on the materials. I like this as a general purpose glue. Good for construction, ceramic, and other porous surfaces. I have even used it to repair the surround foam on my main stereo speakers. Good stuff and inexpensive as well.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not worth the money I tried gluing a plastic certificate frame to a wooden wall and found this stuff to be useless, wouldn't hold and fell right off. I added more and held it for a couple minutes and still fell right off. Then got a rag with warm water and washed it all off and threw the rest of the tube in the garbage. I should have tried liquid nails it was right next to this stuff.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Didn't work for me I attempted to attach small pieces of wood trim to painted drywall and this glue would not hold! I held the trim in place for at least 2 minutes and even tried to let the glue get tacky before putting the piece on the wall with no success. Maybe this is user error but couldn't get it to stick after an hour of trying. At least it was easy to clean up off of the wall and trim...
