12 oz. Gloss Key Lime General Purpose Spray Paint is rated 3.0 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Beautiful Color I bought this to cover metal and although it says it covers 2x I still needed to do a 2nd coat. I guess for me if it covers 2x's as much shouldn't I only have to do 1 coat? Otherwise I found no issue with it. I do recommend getting primer. I did not use it and the paint chipped off of the metal pretty easily. I hope that was a lack of primer, and not the paint.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Surface is part glossy and part matte. I rated this low because it is not a glossy surface as advertised. I bought this 2x paint because I wanted that luscious key lime color for a metal patio table, 36 inch diameter. I used Rustoleum rusty metal spray primer, sanded with 240 grit, several coats and sandings. It was a nice, smooth, matte surface, ready for painting. Then I made sure the substrate (table) was very cool (did it in the morning, in the shade, table had been kept overnight in a cool garage), no wind, 60 degree temp, very careful to spray at about 10-12 inches as recommended. No way was this coming out glossy. The legs came out glossy because I could spray them from 6-8 inches, but you can't do that for a big tabletop. I have written to Rustoleum about this, I hope they will try to improve this paint. I would have used their Rustoleum Glossy protective paint, but it didn't come in this luscious color, but I have NEVER had a problem with it. I think the 2x paint just dries too fast to allow itself to gloss up. I ended up sanding with 240, then 320, then used car rubbing compound, and I got a decent satin finish. I might try spraying over this with exterior rustoleum clear paint (not the 2x kind), to see if I can get a glossier finish. My concern with that is that paint usually lasts longer than the clear stuff outside, so I'd rather just have glossy paint. Only alternative is to change the color and use different paint, but this color is absolutely sensational in the yard, the green picks up the landscape colors and when the palm frond shadows fall on it, it's very beautiful. Oh---3 cans to paint 36 inch table, pretty good coverage, as advertised. And dries really fast for recoating!!!!!
