Answer:
It will be ok for vinyl tiles. For ceramic I would go with a cement backer board.

I want to place a 21" x4' piece of plywood over my back stairs (5 total) for my grocery cart. It needs to be light enough to facilitate moving in place when needed and placed on its side next to my house when not in use.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Made my project so easy! I had a coffee table that had grooves in it, catching all sorts of junk in them. Hated to get a new table just for that, so decided to try to find a way to put a new top on it. Love it now! Going to do the matching end tables now too., June 10, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Desk Chair Mat Alternative I used 2 of these panels, placed side by side, as desk chair mat. Now my desk chair glides easily and doesn't harm the carpet. Just lay the panels down and you are done. This solution cost me all of $12 whereas a so called real "desk chair mat" costs $50. Moreover, and the edges of these panels won't curl, as do the real "desk chair mat". The panels have held up for more than 6 months now with no sign of wear. It's a good, inexpensive solution to an annoying problem. Try it. You'll like it!!! January 13, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by great for the job and great price I used this board to make a table top for my coffee table after my glass top had broken. It was easy to cut with a jig saw and it looks great now that I have painted it to look like granite top. Great price for a faux granite table top... May 30, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nice size I used this on a project with my granddaughter. It was perfect because we didn't need a lot of wood and my shop is small making it difficult to store leftovers. We ended up with almost no waste by using a small piece. January 22, 2014
