A:  I purchased the steps couple of years ago and door was included. All the hardware is included. I replaced the pull down cord with eye screw. Then use a shortended broom stick with hook on the end to pull down the stairs

A:  The stairs are not straight they are slanted, hence they have to be longer. If it is too llong you can always cut the bottom to fit your height. It has to be cut on a slant. Hope this helps.
