Biggest and hardest part of project was the prep work. Converted laundry room into shower room. Installed new flooring, relocated drain and water supply. Framed, sheet rocked, tiled, and painted shower alcove. Installing the acrylic shower stall itself was easy. Material is hard and glossy. It appears to hold up very well. The only con is the price of unit. Four acrylic plastic pieces for about $800 out the door is a lot.

Floor showed up damaged to the point where its not usable. I went to exchange the floor because they had just the floor part in stock but was told I have to return the entire kit and wait another 2 weeks to get it delivered. Absolute joke to delay me two weeks because they make the system so complicated, I cannot just get what what they broke. Product seems like it is OK, but Home Depots support is horrible.

I am not a skilled carpenter but I made it. The shower was a breeze to install. My issues were with the prep work. I had to relocate the drain which was a real pain. Thankfully, I was working with a 3/4 wood floor so it made it possible for me. The shower was well packaged and complete. This shower is so spacious it's amazing. We used a 29X29 for 14 years and I couldn't take it anymore. I could not extend my elbows or bend over if I dropped the soap (and I did drop the soap). Recommend this.

Followed the instructions along with YouTube video of how to install. Went very smooth. The product seems to be a good deal. Looks very nice. You do need to have your walls plumb and square for a perfect installation. Make sure you add the framing for your shower door just in case you ever want to add it. They do make one compatible. I’ll add that later on. I would definitely buy again. My only complaint would be that if you step on the curb on the base it isn’t sturdy feeling. But. It isn’t a step anyway. My advice is to use spray foam, and fill it up before you install it. That would be the only thing I would change if I could. When talking a shower it feels like a much more expensive one. Anyone who wrote bad review obviously didn’t install it per Spec. As far as longevity, it has a 10 year warranty for residential use. Hopefully I never need to use it. I did quite a bit of research before going with this kit. Glad I made the correct decision

This shower set looks great when installed and is perfect for a homeowner/investor who is trying to be cost effective. Tip: To make it look higher-end (instead of just having a shower rod and curtain), install the Delta Classic 500 shower door.

I am being told my the Knoxville RE BATH, my Delta 500 series shower installation is according manufacturer specs and code. The most notable specs and code is where the floor truss had about 10” removed. But, according to RE BATH experts. I am lucky there was a closet wall under the bottom part of the web truss to land on. yes that’s sarcasm. As off 17 March 2023, RE BATH states they are no longer concerned with my project because there won’t be any claims made,,.? Mt bathroom floor is now , not level and there is a crown that has formed on the floor along that damaged truss. Also the shower pan moves up and down. I politely ask the management to make good on repairs, and install a shower door in good faith for my damages. Their expert deemed there is no damage. In fact he states the situation is so stable, he could cut the floor truss several more times and every thing will be fine, according to a phone conversation I had with management after the company expert left my home. Im sure one could speculate I am leaving many paragraphs out. Yes the trust in question was notched by previous owner. les than 1/2 total with of the top of the truss. I never wanted to present a review; however, I waited for three weeks for RE BATH of Knoxville to “make a very thing right”. For over 2.5 hrs at my home I was subjected to constant gaslighting of the entire situation and complete loss of my mone. Thanks for readin. Joe

Very easy to instal and great size! Looks amazing! But be prepared to drill holes for your water and drains.

We chose this product as part of a bathroom remodel and paired it with the recommended shower pan. We had the normal issues one has with any remodel, but the actual installation of the shower we pretty easy. The shower pieces are very lightweight and can be handled by one person. I was able to install this product without any assistance. Each piece 'clicks' together, although with some persuasion, and are easy to dry fit then disassembled when preparing for the final installation. I did several dry fits without issues and did not see any wear or tear on the connection points. I feel that the instructions are a bit lacking, although they are complete. It is a good idea to read through them several times as they are mostly pictures with limited text. I found once I had the unit dry fitted, many of the instructions made more sense and I felt I was able to plan better. I would recommend dry fitting and spending some time really thinking about the installation for those like me who have never installed a shower before. The product information says it is 'caulkless' and while that is true, specialty adhesives are required to properly seat the shower walls to the drain pan as well as 'sill seal' to protect the unit from wearing on the studs. The adhesives are applied out of sight so the effort normally required to manage the seams should be a one time event and not visible afterward making it much simpler to maintain over time. Pay very close attention to the recommended sealants as the normal bathroom caulking compounds are not recommended. The instructions also were not very detailed about the requirements needed to create structures to support a shower door. It's not difficult to do, but again requires some planning and a few dry fittings to make sure the proper support is given. One of the advantages of using this type of unit is the ease it could be disassembled if issues came up I used the shower a few times before I did the finish work around the top to ensure it wasn't leaking anywhere. As all of the mounting screws are still visible at that point, it would be very easy to take it all apart, fix any issues, and reassemble if there had been any issues. Overall, we are very pleased with this choice. It was much easier to do than a tiled surround and required far less skill and attention to detail.

This Delta Classic 500 shower is good quality for a DIY 73 year old guy to install. Only issue is when installing the base in adhesive, directions called for 6 tubes, but I ended up using 10. I used everything Delta and am pleased.

Delta Classic 500 60 in. W x 73.25 in. H x 30 in. D 3-Piece Set with the Direct-to-Stud installation. The pieces are exactly as described and look exactly like the photos. What did I love about this system- the simplicity. This is a DIY all in one shower system. The pieces slide together for a nearly seamless installation. This goes directly attached to the studs and doesn't require concrete backer board. I did install this with a shower pan from the Delta classic 500 series. I don't think I have ever used a more DIY friendly end-to-end system.

We are re-doing our 50 yr old bathroom. We need a bigger shower. After shopping everywhere and reading tons of reviews, we chose this Delta Classic 500 shower enclosure. To start, Delta has reputation for quality everywhere. The unit came very well packed and included everything for installation. There are even videos to help with installation. This unit mounts directly to wall studs so the walls will be sturdy and quiet. The walls lock together so there is no need for caulk or leaks to worry about. Best of all, there are 7 shelves that makes my wife happy. The unit comes with a 10 year warranty for peace of mind. Our house is on a slab and we need a plumber to move our drain. (not good news with the Holidays and deer season) So our plans are on hold. We already have the shower pan and Delta Frameless door so we can't wait to get this installed. I am sure your are shopping and reading reviews like we did but I have to tell you something. If you find a better set from someone with a Delta reputation, quality and price...buy it. Better yet, save time and buy this set from Home Depot. Like us, you will be glad you did.

We are finishing the basement level in our new house. The bathroom needed a shower surround and this one was just what we wanted. Great appearance, nice built in features and a quality finish. The three pieces are easy to install and mount on the exposed studs of the framing for the bathroom, no sheetrock/drywall required. back panel mounts first, the the side panels, which interlock with the back panel snap into place ready for attachment to the studs. All three panels interlock with the shower pan making for a nice finished appearance that will not leak.

From the looks of the box, I was sure this would be damaged but it wasn't. Took forever for the truck shipping to arrive even though Delta had shipped it within days. I have come to really dislike truck freight shipping. Fortunately, the product is really nice adn an excellent solution to replacing a tired old one piece shower unit. I liked the old 1-piece unit but there was no way to get a new 1-piece unit in place. Installation instructions are very specific and need to be followed carefully. I added some additional wall studs to accommodate assist bars and shower doors. If you don't read the instructions and plan ahead, you could make this job harder than it needs to be. You will need some additional items such as proper screws, sill seal and specified caulk/sealer. See the pic of the list and the approved caulk/sealers for this specific unit. Delta makes it easier to be sure you have a compatible side unit and base by putting it right on the boxes. See the pic of the box sides that show this. I really like the way they built this as it appears they rely more on capturing and channeling the water instead of relying on the caulk/sealer to do the job. Take care with each step and mind the details carefully and you can do this but if you try to go fast and miss details like leveling and wall prep you can create problems.

The Delta Classic 500 60 in. W x 73.25 in. H x 30 in. D 3-Piece Direct-to-Stud Alcove Shower Surrounds in High Gloss White worked out well in my upstairs guest bathroom. The material was nice and thick, therefore very sturdy and not flimsy like quite a few of the other shower surrounds that I had looked at. The finish is easy to clean and the joints are leak free.

The delayed product, abysmal customer service, and lack of follow through on Home Depot's end makes me question whether to remain a customer. I'm honestly disgusted and have called back multiple times to speak with someone in management only to be reassured that it will happen (yet it never does). What a joke for customer service.

My contractor said the assembly was easy. But why is there not a shower door made for this unit & why don’t the manufacturer answer our questions about a door? I would not have purchased if I knew there was no compatible shower door!!

Tough one to install with the issues I had with the existing walls. No fault of the manufacturer. Very pleased with it.

The base came broken. I would suggest packaging it better. I picked up the unit so I scored delivery low. Because I bought them as a bundle, I had to return both. Two thumbs down. It took four customer service until one knew that.

Easy to install. The snap fit corners make it simple and the lines look great.

Worst ordering experience I ever had. Had been delivery delays multiple times and damaged product over and over. Spent hours in store and on the phone to get issues resolved. What was supposed to be a 5 day delivery turned out to take almost 6weeks because of damage and missing pieces. At 1 point I was in the store daily to get updates as nobody seemed able to help on the last delivery update. Ended up ordering 5 sets before getting 1 I could use. Management was supposed to follow up with a discount and never did. Was very disappointed in Home Depot on this one.

The shower unit is nice and delivery was well documented and on time!

Very good quality easy to install

A well made product. However, I followed the instructions to a T when framing and it states to set 2x6’s in the front of the sides (to support a shower door frame if one chooses to install at a later date). However, when installing a door frame, the screws missed the 2x6 entirely. I would have scabbed another 2x4 next to the 2x6 to ensure a solid surface to mount to. Floor is a bit slick. I have an older base and this new base seems to have lost the grip that my older base had.
