This is my fourth fan purchased, two are on my back porch, two are in my shop, and the family loves them. The speed control is a great feature and they do push “A LOT” of air. Bonus: You can’t beat the price either.

Installation was a little frustrating, but they look good and move air well in my downstairs garage/shop. They will literally blow things away if you're not careful.

From what I was told, it was easy to install and it's not heavy because the blades are plastic. It looks gorgeous on our high ceiling and is a nice focal point. It's so fast and to be honest, our living area is huge and we keep it on the #3 setting which is a right above the slowest mode and the A/C is set at 75F and doesn't turn on as much anymore. We love our house to be cool and we usually run it at 73F throughout the day and drop it at night. Out of all of the fans we bought at the time, this one is my favorite.

Love this fan. Just installed it today, and nowhere on the box does it say it has to be 10' from the floor to the blades, though on the box the lowest height listed regarding what length downrod to use is 10' (see pic). The included switch does make some buzzing sounds when switching speeds, but as long as the wirenut connections are tight I wouldn't be too concerned. Pay close attention to how to assemble the downrod as the steps are a bit different than most regular fans. Aside from that it moves a great amount of air and will suit me nicely in my garage.

Bought for my garage. Like the blade design they move a lot of air.Just what I wanted to go with new led work lites. One issue was with bracket attached to motor that holds uprod. Must be a little bent or off somehow as it doesn't spin straight. It wasn't a huge issue as I knew after hanging that motor would turn level even though you can see uprod at an angle.

The fan has been operating constantly (on a medium speed) since I installed it a month ago, and it looks and works great! It runs very smoothly and silently on medium speed. When I stand directly under it, I can barely hear it running. I purchased it to put in my garage to help circulate and mix the air during the winter by running it in the reverse mode. I have a gas heater mounted from my ceiling in one corner of the garage. I noticed a difference right away. Prior to installing it, the air in the garage was noticeably colder near the floor and warmer near the ceiling. That doesn't happen anymore. My garage has 3 stalls and I purchased one fan to see how it worked, with the intention of purchasing 2 more, one for each stall, if I liked the first one. No need for that. This one fan in the middle stall is all I'll need. It is powerful. Installation was fairly easy, however, I had already wired my garage for fans in each stall when I built the house, and had the electrical box to mount the fan and the switch for it already wired and in place. I replaced the 4-speed switch that came with it with a rheostat fan switch I purchased from Home Depot for less than $20 so I could control the speed better. The only negatives I can think of is that changing the fan from reverse to forward mode requires getting on a ladder and removing one screw to lift the housing to access the switch on the fan, but that doesn't seem like big deal twice a year. The other thing is that if you install multiple fans, you'll have to install separate switches for each one, since the instructions warn about trying to operate more than one fan from the same switch. I'm anxious to see how it works in the forward mode this summer to cool things down.

I have hung this in my new pole barn with a 16 ft ceiling height. An easy install except for the height. It ran smooth as silk at the first 3 speeds with a little jiggle at high that was fixed with a tiny weight on one blade midway. It moves a lot of air as hoped. control is a bit odd with the slowest speed labeled 4 and the fastest labeled 1! But works well.

We placed this on our screened in porch. It is very sleek and stylish. Just the look we were going for. It is also extremely powerful! If you turn it all the way up, it feels like you're in the middle of a wind storm! It is a great fan for the price!

We have now purchased 11 of these fans. They cannot be beat for their hurricane-like air movement and freshness, quietness, and energy efficiency. We now have them both in our home and in our business. They are also very attractive, and match our modern decor. We've had 8 off these fans for about a year, with no problems, and just purchased 3 more. If we had to purchase more fans, we would once again go with this model.

This 60 in. fan is an excellent choice for moving a lot of air. If your considering it please read on and we will share our first hand experience with it. What we like the most: 1. It moves a lot of air. 2. The price. 3. It was easy to hang. 4. It is easy to clean. 5. It works well with the Hampton Bay "Premier" Universal remote we purchased to use with it. What we don't like: 1. On high speed the sharp pitched blades make it loud (see demo video), almost like a small helicopter. On med and low speed it is quite. 2. On high speed it has some wobble that we just can't get out of it. On Medium and low it is smooth with no wobble (see video) That's it; we hope this helps. We have attached some photos and posted a short demo video on You Tube https://youtu.be/3rQHLGwy__4

Very powerful fan. Easy to install. It generates more wind noise at the top speed setting, as compared to the other fans. This is due to the power of this industrial fan. However, it gets the job done very well for a large area. I feel a strong breeze in my living room and kitchen. Wording on the box states that it has a "remote switch". That led me to believe there was a remote control included. This product only has a wall switch to control the fan speeds. You may have an issue with finding a fitting wall plate if you have a 4 switch plate prior to install. The brushed steel look is not similar to stainless steel. It is more brilliant in the online pictures. Nevertheless, I still highly recommend this product for the price. You will not get a better price for the size and performance of this ceiling fan! The only drawback is that it does not have a ceiling fan light. I was aware when I purchased the item. However, it appears to have the connections to add one on your own.

This has been installed in a 40x40 pole barn to distribute heat from a wood burning stove and I've been using it for a couple of weeks now. It comes with a 4-speed fan controller and that is awesome. The blade direction is reversible, but it is a little awkward to get the switch as a screw needs to be loosened on the shroud on top of the motor to access it. The fan is mounted 13' from the ground and on high speed really blows things around. For the winter in Michigan, I've reversed the direction so that it pulls the air up and distributes the heat. I've measured measured the heat with my temperature gun in different locations and heights and it does a great job of air distribution. Installation was simple and it looks great.

      8 years and counting!!
Seriously, I've had this "commercial" ceiling fan installed in my contemporary home over a vaulted stairway and running 24/7 for the past 8 years [no exaggeration]... with NO ISSUES WHATSOEVER!! If you don't need a light [we have skylights], you'd be a fool not to invest in this fan!!

        Dependable fan for machine shop
I purchased and installed 5 of these fans in my machine shop in 2005. We use them almost every day and they still provide quiet air circulation with no issues. We are currently adding a new building so I went with 9 of the same fan. Sleek, quiet and easy to clean.

          Met All My Requirements
Very efficient blade design - rather than a flat paddle it's an airfoil shape with greater chord and pitch at the root than at the tip which is just as it should be for most efficiency. Speed control mounts in a standard switch box and has excellent range of speeds - lowest speed produces a minimum airflow while highest speed blows papers around on the floor 11 feet below in my installation. The two speeds in between the min and max offer all the adjustment I need. The "industrial" style and lack of a light are perfect for my application which is in a large workshop with 12 foot ceiling and extensive lighting. I installed 3 of these fans and all worked out fine with no issues. Installation instructions have some mistakes but not too hard to figure out. That's the only reason I rated quality and ease of installation as Good rather than Excellent.

not happy with customer service and the switch
my switch burnt out a speed shortly after purchasing this fan... I called customer service. after being put on hold and talking to a few different people they tell me its not the switch and tell me they are going to send out the part I need. I call back 2 weeks later after receiving nothing and call back again. they were apologetic and tell me something's coming out in the mail today. they send me out a part which isn't the correct one, the switch went bad, along with no paperwork for where this part is supposed to go. I am dreading calling back to try and get the switch I need that lost the low speed. fan looks awesome and would be great if functioned properly...

Great Air Movement, Awkward Reverse Switch Location
I purchased and installed this today to replace an existing fan that died. We like the simple design and were persuaded by another review to purchase this since the reviewer claimed it had good air movement. I agree with that comment -- it moves a lot of air. Installation instructions were clear and simple to follow. I added an 18" extension and because the fan wires were extra long, that was a simple task. We like the fact that a variable control wall switch is included, but are a little disappointed that the reverse switch location is under the bell (coupler) cover rather than conveniently located on the outside of the fan housing (switch location is noted in the instructions). Usually a fan of this size (60") is located in a very large room with high ceilings (ours is), making it necessary to go up a very tall ladder with a screwdriver to remove the cover to access the reverse switch. I guess we won't be doing that! We most often run the fan to blow downward, so this was not a deal breaker for us, but we rated it only 4-stars because this feature was lacking

Nice Fan, But Wrong Part Shipped in Box
This is a nice fan, and was as easy as any other fan to install, BUT - when I tried to install the cover over the down rod, the cover didn't fit. I had to call customer service, wait on hold, then order the correct part and wait a week and a half for them to ship it to me.

            60" Shop Ceiling Fan
As others have indicated, this is a great fan. I bought two for my workshop, and they really move a lot of air at the highest setting. They're both quiet, with no rattles, and run very smoothly. I think the "airfoil" design of the blade really makes a big difference compared to other fans with flat blades. I love that the remote wired switch was included in the deal for each fan. Really a great price for the product, and I was relieved to see the silver paint on the fan blades wasn't scratched like others had experienced. Only drawbacks are 1) Like everyone else has stated, the numbering on the switch is "backwards" -- i.e. the "highest" setting (4) is the slowest speed, and the "lowest setting (1) is the highest speed -- odd, but not unmanageable, and 2) while they are reversable for summer/winter air flow, you have to climb up a ladder, unscrew and lift up the top cover to access the reverse switch -- rather a hassle, but then your'e only doing that twice a year (if at all).

            Looks good.
I'm glad I got this . Looks "edgy" , industrial look. It's quiet and I turn it on the lowest setting at night and I can feel the air , just the right amount . I would buy this again for the spare room . It came with a small extention, I had to buy a separate 12 " , no big deal .

            Insane Air Flow!!!!!!
I installed this fan and was blown away (pun intended) by the insane airflow. I have it installed on a 12-14 ft ceiling in a 26x15ft room. At the 2 highest settings, the entire room is filled with really strong overwhelming airflow. Even in my large room, I dont need to turn the fan up that high because the blade's flow capacity is just that good. It is perfect for my Arizona home. It even comes with an 18in extension and a wall switch controller. It feels like it is made from solid materials, all components are made of sturdy metal. The wall switch seems to be labeled a bit strange. Setting 1 is the highest airflow and 4 being the lowest airflow setting. It is definitely worth every penny and recommend it for anyone that needs a quality fan.

Ceiling fan moves a lot of air!
I work out of a shop in my garage on a daily basis, after installation the difference was immediate. My garage is heated but not air conditioned so my garage can get very hot during the summer months. Now I can work comfortably all day. This ceiling fan is a great value and addition to my work space.

Overall solid buy, includes 2 downrods!
I'm so glad I found this fan (Home Depot's search filters need a ton of work). It was exactly what I was looking for- a simple large black fan with no light and with a remote. The benefit of the included 4 speed "remote" is that it's wired into the wall and works perfectly. The fan includes a 6" AND 18" rod (I didn't measure these). The fan low setting moves a perfect amount of air, and the high is pretty intense. The price on top of these features made this a truly perfect deal. My only gripe is that (for my install) I couldn't use the included decora plate since I was installing in a double gang box. The dimensions of the remote didn't quite agree with my new plate, and as much as I hate to say it, I had to force the plate over the control and its neighboring switch. Still, I can't stress what a nice, quiet, and pretty unique fan this is :)

            Couldn't be happier
The black industrial fan (60") looks very sleek in our massive living room and matches the furniture very nicely. With the AZ summer heat and many windows in our condo, we needed something to help circulate cooler air. With 4 speed wall settings, we only need to have it on the 2 lowest to get a relaxing flow of cooler air and its Energy Star efficient! We hope to see how it holds up in the summer months.

            Moves A Ton of Air
Bought these to install in my shed/workshop and they're exactly what I was looking for. It runs quiet, which is important in a small space. Most importantly it moves a ton of air which will help me to keep things cool in the summer and circulate air in the winter. I like that you can leave it on a lower setting and still get the benefit because of the large blades. The wall control is great because I have no cords hanging down to get in the way. I can't speak to the installation because I had someone do it for me. There is no light, but I knew that and didn't need one.
