This fan fully met my requirements for a porch fan that really moves some air in the heat and mosquitos of the South. It's a basic fan - without a light feature - but moves nearly twice as much air as the 52" fan it replaced. This fan cost less than half as much as my next choice. This fan is not carried in the store, so ordered on line. I needed a longer downrod and could not order one to go with it, even with help from chat. I ended up having to paint a downrod to match, but you could make one from 3/4" galvanized pipe - just be careful to complete the grounding. Overall we are very happy with results.

No problems. Only weird quirk is that to change the direction of the fan, you need to lift up the cover.

Mounted it in my shop building about 11' above the floor. On high you can feel a breeze about as strong as the average ceiling fan in my house puts out. Not to impressive. From some of the reviews I was expecting more air movement than that.

We are sorry to hear that you feel this way about the fan. For optimal performance, we would suggest lowering the fan so that the blades are 10ft from the floor. Also, make sure that the fan is operating in the proper direction to create a downward airflow. The reverse switch is located under the motor collar cover.

The fan works fine, although a little noisy. The wall toggle switch is a pinkish beige and does not match our other toggle switches, which are “normal” white. Why would you make such an odd color for the switch!? It stands out but we’re going to have to ignore it.

Looks cheap - plastic blades and poor fit - I ended up using a different product. Disappointed I could not return the fans for a refund.

We are sorry to hear that you feel this way about the product. As stated in the product description, the blades are ABS. This is a material that is designed to withstand humidity to avoid blade droop when used in a covered outdoor setting.
