I love my new mower. This Honda replaced my Toro recycler which I was not in the least bit happy with. I can attest to all the positive feedback that this mower had received.

The setup is easy to perform. The mower works well however not the best on hills. I do not like how the rubber flap goes under the mower body when you pull the mower backwards. This situation could damage the flap over time. I do like the self propelled option that is easy to use. I would recommend this mower for the price.

Best lawnmower made. Just make sure you check the blades before first mowing. Mine were very dull, had to sharpen them. Very happy with Honda mower.

This is my second Honda mower within the last 20 yrs. My first one is still running and I basically purchased the new one due to Honda not making lawnmowers anymore. I was gonna need a new one and Honda makes the best. The new mower is faster and lighter — great purchase

Stupidest "Smart drive" self propellent feature
Last Honda was 20 years old, survived 2 floods then stolen. We moved to 30+acres in TN,the tractor cuts the fields. Bought this "smart" mower to get the tight fence lines & small hills. ANY incline & you are pushing this mower w/o help. the wheels dont move on a hill, if you stop, it stops too. even w/the lever all the way forward it just sits. SELF PROPELLED means it goes on its OWN like our old one. Starts GREAT, flat areas (self propel) moves GREAT, Hills not even wheel spin on the hills!

Bad Curburator
I've had mine less that a year (HRN216VKA) and nothing but carburetor issues and leaking oil at the spout. I've been using non-ethanol fuel. I never had these issues with my old Briggs and Stratton. Honda will not warranty any carburetor issues. I had a carburetor kit installed at a Honda authorized dealer, and it worked once without surging and began to surge again. Honda said to take it over to Northern Tool and have them look at it. (NT) says to leave it there, but I have to pay $60 up front and then parts and labor. I shouldn't have to do this on a new lawn mower. This is the last Honda I will ever buy!!

Powerful and easy to operate. Starts on first or second pull. Three year warranty, no other mower has that. Glad I got the last of the Honda walk behind gas mowers.

Went back to a gas mower from electric. The Honda is a great reliable mower. The electric batteries just don't last. I've bought 4 batteries at no less than $350 a piece over the last 5 years. Honda mower is the way to go.

This lawnmower was easy to assemble just adjust the handle right out of the box and add the oil supplied. It mulches the grass with ease and has plenty of power, no bogdown in higher grass. Starts on first pull and is quieter than the other mowers I used. It's easy to maneuver and the speed control lever is easy to use and adjustable to fit your comfort level.

Pros: easy starting and height adjustment, quiet operation,
Cons: self-propulsion is inconsistent, clippings catch bag has fallen off a couple of times

The mower is as advertised. I put the handle in position, added oil and started mowing. Seems like a very good mower so far. I used it 3 times then changed the oil again. The owners manual said 5 hrs but I did it a little sooner just to be safe. This is my first Honda mower, but I bought one before they're gone. I wasn't very happy with the durability of the Toro I had for 5 years. It started and ran good, but the deck broke in 2 places and I don't know why it did . I only need a push mower to trim where my zero turn won't go.

During first use: Internal parts in the rear left wheel were broken and loose. I could hear them rattling around (when the mower was off). They would seize up the left wheel while mowing. I returned for an exchange at Home Depot. Waiting to see how the 2nd mower works. Other than that and the smaller than normal clippings catch bag, I thought it performed like it should.

Love this mower. Easy to use. Powerful. Easy to maintenance. Just watch for rocks. I had to buy a new one because I ran over a rock that I couldn’t see.
