I purchased this to use as a heat shield under a fire bowl. It seems to work reasonably well for this purpose. The folks in the store were kind enough to cut it for me to make it easier to get in my car.

Terrible workability
This product says snap and score. Good luck! Buy special scoring tool. Plan to score 15 times so you are at least 1/2 way through the board or it WILL NOT break on the line. Cutting an outlet or fixture...good luck. I am not a pro but have done multiple tiling projects in 2 houses before this using uther products without issues. Find another product!

It's lighter weight which is nice but it IS water resistant, not waterproof. So, you have to use a product prior to tiling for waterproofing like Redguard or USG Liquid waterproofing membrane. It's easy to work with.

Lightweight in this size. You do need a tool designed to cut holes as scoring with a knife won't work in that regard. Otherwise will serve its purpose well. Underlying wood stove hearth pad

It seems kinda hard and heavy, like concrete! Cuts nice with an angle grinder, excellent strength.
