This coffee maker is awesome. It makes coffee very quickly and it's great tasting coffee. We don't have to use as much coffee as we did with our previous machine. It really seems to do a good job of saturating/steeping the grounds so you get the full taste. It's also quiet and I love that you can adjust the cups to make a smaller pot. There's no heating plate so if you're someone who needs super hot coffee this probably isn't the machine for you as the coffee in the carafe doesn't stay super hot for long. I don't mind this at all but I know some people do.

My first unit lasted since 2016 and I’d never buy anything else. I do appreciate that they made the cover that goes over the coffee grounds slotted to help steam dissipate but otherwise kept the unit the same. PLEASE OXO don’t change a thing!!!

We love it. It is fast to perk, the coffee tastes great, and the whole coffee maker is easy too clean.

Solid coffee maker, easy to use and makes consistently good brewed coffee. The stainless stell carafe keeps the coffee warm for longer than your standard glass carafe, but not easy to clean. The dial is not intuitive and doesn't seem to have a warm function, which is a pretty big miss in my opinion. It has a pretty large footprint and takes up quite a bit of counter space for what it does. I also don't like that I can't remove the water container to clean it separately. It'll have to be descaled regularly.

Wanted to love it---sleek looking, good cup 'o joe, but the single button for everything operation and having to set/re-set brew ahead----too complicated and cumbersome/not intuitive. Recommend looking at one in a brick and mortar store before purchasing. Purchased the Cuisinart, also SCA certified.

Hands down makes the best coffee I’ve ever made from drip to pods to manual French press. Great when either a couple cups or a full pot of 9 cups. Also sold on using a stainless steel carafe to keep it hot over glass pot/ warmer. I just take the entire carafe to my desk so I can pour it into a ceramic coffee cup to drink from instead of an insulated mug. I now prefer a cup of coffee at home instead of the local barista.

I never realized a coffee maker could make suck a big difference in the way your coffee tastes. It is a game changer!

This is just nasty. I've had 3 day old gas station coffee with less plastic flavor than this garbage.

I should've known better to give this brand another try. Water doesn't get hot enough to meet SCA standards on the one i received (193° tops and that's using already hot water) and I've flushed numerous pots of water they it but it still makes the coffee taste like plastic and silicone. Returning this and just getting another cuisinart 850 which only died because i broke it.

I was quite disappointed with this purchase--I bought this coffeemaker based on the NYT recommendation. While the coffee it makes tastes fine, the drip stop hasn't worked properly since the first day I purchased it--there's always additional dripping and my counter is a sticky mess.

I Like the convenience and the brew very much. It took about a week to get rid of the "plastic taste". Tried lots of different things; washing accessible parts with soap and water, flushing with just water, flushing with half vinegar and water - thought it was never going to get rid of the taste - then I let it sit open for a few days and tried again. Next time I think I would open it all up and just let it sit for a week airing it out (the volatile organic gasses need to escape). Then wash all accessible plastic parts thoroughly with soapy water (even the water reservoir while its upside down to prevent soapy water entering the heating chamber), Then fill with half vinegar and water and let it sit for an hour or so before running it through brew cycle - do this 10 times. then a couple of cycles with pure water to get rid of the vinegar taste. I think the coffee maker performance is worth the hassle of getting the "new car" smell (and taste) to go away.

This machine really does make the best cup of coffee!! The brewing system is unique, robust and smooth

This is my second OXO Barista coffeemaker. It makes excellent coffee. I’m spoiled for any other brand.

I own two of the 9-Cup Coffee Makers. I pride myself in making great coffee, via French press, pour over, etc., and this OXO is up there with the rest, with added convenience with automation. I love it!

Carafe keeps the coffee hot for some time and it’s easy to pour, nothing to open, just pour.

I like this coffee maker. It makes good coffee and is easy to use. The only thing that I don't like is that the carafe has a small opening so it's hard to get anything down into it to clean it between uses. I guess it will all come clean when it comes time to descale the entire machine...

I only wish it would make 12 cups instead of 9! And the instructions could be better, like how to set the 12hr vs. 24hr time settings. By pressing the button, pressing and holding the button, twisting the outer button knob, etc. I was able to figure most of it out. But the end product, the coffee itself, is great.

I love everything about this coffee brewer. It is the best I have ever owned. The insulated metal carafe holds the hot coffee. No hot plate is present to"burn" the brewed coffee.The grounds get presoaked before the brew cycle begins. Automatic start brewing is such a wonderful sound to wake up to when you know there will soon be a fabulous cup of brewed coffee waiting for you.

Wish there was a larger size option (i.e., 12 cup coffee maker) but aside from this, no issues or complaints, just a good/consistent cup of drip coffee.

I am thrilled with this product! It was a little more than I was initially prepared to spend on a new coffee pot, but I have zero regrets and absolutely plan to always own an OXO pot in the future. Coffee stays hot for a long time and the machine is easy to clean. 10/10 would recommend.

I'm not impressed at all with how it brews, it is extremely noisy during the brewing process and spits the water into the filter at the end making the coffee grounds go over the filter onto the sides of the filter basket. Like the pour over process of the brewing though.

I was trying not to be a snob but I was very pleased with my French press. Then I read about this coffee maker and I decided to treat myself for something new. Well both ways of making coffee are good but this is a bit more convenient. Set it up tonight before, but fresh coffee in the morning and go put on my clothes. Come back to a really good cup. Takes a little practice to get the right mix of water and coffee quantity but I think I found it. I'm taking it not a family vacation this weekend so my kids and extended family can enjoy it

Love this machine! No more frustrating spills all over the counter when trying to get caffeinated to start the day. The control is simple to use after the first brew and programmed brew. The price for this is also totally reasonable compared to other machines we were looking at. My only gripe is that the warming plate turns off after one hour, but the thermos does a good job keeping things warm after that first hour. Wish there was a glass carafe option but the metal one is just fine.

I have had four of these coffee makers for different houses and it is by far the best in the market at any price!

I was excited about this coffee maker, it's sleek design, etc. However, I am very disappointed with how the coffee lid holds water. I took the silicone mixing tube off to wash that and the lid and discovered that the lid holds water. You can shake the lid and hear the water inside it ... soapy water, no less, because I had washed it! This seems to be a major design flaw.

For two of us, the 9-cup makes two mugs a-piece. Maybe that means I drink too much coffee. We think the suggested proportions make the coffee too strong, so we reduce the grounds a little. All in all, a great coffee maker!
