This tool is awesome!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just bought the snowblower and already had numerous ryobi batteries and thank goodness I did as we are in the middle of snowpocalypse! The blower works great just make sure you have a battery to switch out if you have a long driveway or a lot of snow to contend with .

Don't believe the reviews this thing works!!!
Was skeptical due to bad reviews but since I have other ryobi stuff and it works great I picked this up. Preferred to get 2 battery model , UT this was the last one of any size available so I thought give it a try. I expected to be returning and getting bigger model, but would give it a try. Wow! Did not disappoint and surprised me. Sure it stalls if I shove it into heavy compact snow, but it restarts and does the job. Bought it two-day ago due to storm warning, cleared double driveway no p4oblem including the plowed end!!!! Again this was slow on plowed compressed snow but got it done. Did need a battery and half but like I said I have other ryobi and some 40v, so all good. Thanks Ryobi, and thanks home depot for selling me the display model.

          Easy to use, works great
I purchased this unit to replace my older gas powered snow blower and so far I am impressed with the Ryobi. We recently had 6-7 inches of snow ( light and fluffy ) and it powered through it with no problem. I had enough battery to complete my 2 car driveway during a windy 10 degree day. I will be interested to see how well it works with a wet heavier snow and if you are doing more than a driveway you may want to purchase another battery.

            Glad I bought it!!
I am so glad that I bought this snow blower. It is a small machine but has outperformed my expectations. I had an issue trying to assemble the snow shoot, but found this assembly video by RYOBI TOOLS USA on YouTube, and it helped: https://youtu.be/S-C6jceehJw The shoot seems a bit flimsy when manually rotating it from side to side, and I am worried about how long the shoot will last, but the snow blower itself is built very well and is able to handle a decent amount of snow.

              Powerful yet Compact Snow thrower
This Ryobi Snow thrower packs a big punch in a little package. I was able to do my whole driveway 2 days after the Blizzard of 22 and it plowed through the 3 foot snow drifts. Also small enough to fit in my toyota corolla and go help out my grandpa Woo!!

Great for small/medium driveways and 4-6” snow
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Clears about 3000 square feet of 6” snow off of asphalt on the supplied battery. Used my 40V Ryobi chainsaw battery to finish.

                  Super quiet and light weight
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was a little worried about quality when I opened up the box and it weighed very little. I figured I’d give it a chance still. I had about 6” of snow this morning and bought it on my way home from work. It is amazing simple to set up and get going. Battery charged in under an hour and I did 3 2 car drives and adjacent sidewalks on the first go. Worked flawlessly and hopefully I surprised my neighbor in a good way!

Love that it runs by battery. Great for a 59yr old
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m an empty nester now. It is harder for me to do heavy duty shoveling. Having a snowblower was a godsend with our most recent snow fall. Easy to run and like the fact it uses a battery.

                      What a great snowblower!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this 3 weeks ago and only had a chance to use it today after 6 inches of lake effect snow fell. It worked like a champ tossing the snow 10-15 feet. The snow deflector turned different positions with no trouble. The snowblower cleared the snow all the way down to the cement. Every other snowblower I have ever used left the last quarter or half inch on the ground. This was like a vacuum clearing up every bit of snow. I was able to do my whole driveway 20 x 40 and all of the sidewalks before the battery died, about half hour. I have a rapid charger that I got with my Ryobi lawn mower so I am using it with the battery and I might even help out my neighbors. Maybe...

                        Decent but limited.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The snowblower randomly shut off during the first use. When I got the unit restarted, it was significantly louder and started to smell like burning plastic or rubber. Up until this point, the snowblower operated without issue. The next day I used it again, still making the noise but it worked. This has decent power for 4-6 inches of snow, but did struggle and shut off with the hard packed snow from the plow trucks. Extra batteries are a must if your driveway is average sized. The manual chute adjustment does get annoying and feels flimsy. I ended up returning this unit and ordering the 21' Ryobi with 2 5ah batteries and adjustable chute. Hoping for better results this time around.

This is a Tough little machine!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this yesterday wondering if I should have bought the next model up. Once I had it put together and got it outside, I thought the amount of snow was going to burn out the motor. Not the case at all. This little beast took on 12" plus of snow, 3 massive snow plow passes and ready to do more work, having a an extra 40V battery really came in handy as well. Well worth the money!!!

                            Ryobi Snow Thrower-Just in Time!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We had a horrible snowstorm in Virginia and my old snowblower died on me. I have always been a fan of Ryobi tools and the inherent versatility given the ability to share batteries between like items. In preparation for the next storm, I purchased the RYOBI 40V HP 18IN SNOW THROWER and it was a lifesaver. I was able to clear my driveway with relative ease. The 40V 4A battery had sufficient power not only to clear the snow but the slush at the end of the driveway. If you are looking to get rid of your gas snowblower or ditch the extension cord, this is the product for you.

My little big snow machine This thing cut through a foot of snow very easily even at the end of the driveway where the snow plow went you just got to take 6 inches at a time this thing works great but I did have to use my second battery from my lawnmower

                                Worth the money
This 18” Ryobi 40v snow blower saved me over 2.5 hr. Last week I shoveled the same area in over 3 hrs. Today with the snow blower I was done in 35 min. Each 6.0 Ah battery lasted 20 min. This was about 6” deep. The deeper the snow, the farther it throws.

                                  Nice little unit
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this for the first time and was disappointed with it. I could not push the unit forward without scrapping the side walk or the grass, in which I make a path to my bird feeders. You have to push down on the handle in order to move forward. My solution was to add a roller to each side of the chute. Just remove a screw and add a longer screw to hold the roller. See attached photo

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just bought this 18" snow blower a couple of weeks ago for a big snow storm. I was shocked how much power it had for being battery powered! It was also super quiet and so easy to use. I have started collecting Ryobi battery powered everything. Will not go back to gas power. Thank you for delivering such a great product!

Easy, quiet and no gas smell!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I usually do the driveway maintenance during the West Michigan winters, but an injury has left it to my partner and our kids to try to muscle the big 2-stage up & down the drive. Lots of complaints about how hard it is to use and how smelly the exhaust fumes are lead me to add this electric snow blower to our tools. I have the Ryobi 40V Power Head with a number of Expand-it attachments, so I was confident that the 40V Snow Blower would work for us. It was very easy to set up and I was able to use one of my existing 4ah batteries right away to train my crew on operating the snow blower. My wife is very comfortable with the weight and loves that it starts with the push of a button and stops right away. Very intuitive for the whole family to use!

Great addition to the snow removal family
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased this to clear the roof and to compliment our Ariens track driven two stage snow thrower and the trusty '78 F250 Highboy plow truck. So far through a couple of light snowfalls (less than 4") it has done a great job clearing the area in front of the house and blasting a path to the chicken coop. For light snowfalls it's nice to just turn it on and go instead of firing up the big gas unit. It will clear the equivalent of a two car driveway on one 5A battery although the snow was pretty light and fluffy, have yet to try the 6A battery it came with. The plastic scraper on the bottom has no adjustable skids like the big snow thrower so it gets caught on the cracks in the concrete apron and digs into the gravel where its not frozen solid. With no shear bolts it has so far handled gravel, the occasional small stick, and frozen chicken poo with no damage. The light on the front is adequate although I wear a headlamp making it unnecessary.

Battery lasts for the whole driveway
Easy to assemble, handle folds for small storage, and most importantly (to me) the battery lasts for the entire drive area! My worry was that the battery would die before the job was done. My concern was unfounded. the battery lasts!!!

Better than shoveling with snow shovel!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used it once so far in heavy snow .it doesn’t like heavy snow ,nothing does .I had to keep cleaning out the shoot and it really sucked up the battery .however, I had another Ryobi product, so I had another battery I could put it in and finish the job . It will probably work great in the powder stuff.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m happy I bought this product and can’t wait to try it out. The only gripe I have is the chute to me forever to figure out how to get that installed! It was not quite as simple/stupid as you might think. I love their lawn mower so let’s hope this snowblower is just as good!

Snow blower was well protected in the box it shipped in, simple to put together, it seems to be constructed well with steel sides and steel frame for auger. Light weight, motor seems strong, just need it to snow now.

                                                    Good purchase
The snowblower works great, you can get through a typical 2 car driveway no problem with the 6Ah battery. It cheese through the end of driveway harder snow well but kills the battery faster the deeper the snow. Good as is, but with another 8Ah battery you can clear snow for almost 2 hours (over 8cm deep of snow)

We had a huge snowfall here in Saskatchewan in late spring. We had enough of shovelling for the year so it was off to get a snowblower. This one really pulls right to the ground and sucked up even the old hard packed on snow doesn’t last super long but enough to get the job done and just charge again and go out if need be. Very happy with our purchase.

Got this last year and we've used in total about 5 times. It broke just before we had that big snow storm and we were unable to use it. about 3 months waiting period for it to be fixed. This year we've used it about twice. The battery lasts between 10-15mins, and its not powerful enough to deal with heavy snow.

This is a piece of junk! Won't even snow blow 2" of snow. It usually just pushes the snow in front of it and when it does try to blow it, it only throws snow about a foot and constantly jams up with snow. I have no idea how long the battery lasts because I get so fed up trying to get it to work, I just shovel. I can shovel much faster! It does throw rocks and dirt really well though. Please do not waste your money!
