A:  Hi Sandy. According to the product description, you can get up to 30 minutes of runtime with included 40V 6Ah battery. It will depend on the amount and weight of snow being removed. It is always a good idea to have an extra battery for backup. Please let us know if we can be of further assistance. Rick_HD_OC

          Maiden voyage
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ordered online in early March to replace my decades old, two stroke, single stage machine. Delivered 19 March. Snowed 5-7 inches March 22. First outing had mixed results. Far quieter than gas. Much lighter to push. But took more effort to push through the snow. Drive is 20'x14' concrete with 15'x16' asphalt slip to street. It took a battery and half and 3/4 hour to clear the snow. The bottom inch or two was very wet and compressed, so based on other reviews I knew this would be challenging. It was. The chute filled twice, requiring clearing. I suspect this machine will handle deeper snow but not wetter snow. Thankfully, lake effect is fluffier, and we get a lot of that!

Works great for the snow we get. No gasoline Had it 6 weeks Picked up at store, assembled fairly quickly indoors. Good size wheels make it easy to push.

Worked great when it worked. Broke after a year
I’m a big ryobi fan! Have probably 10 or so various products of theirs. This snow blower worked well last year during different types of snow storms, heavy or light. Unfortunately this year the motor stopped working. Battery is fine, I tried everything I saw online. The motor just makes the noise but doesn’t spin to propel the snow away. I really wish they made a good snow blower as I love all their other products!

              Just what we expected
Bought this right before our big snow-projected to be heavy, wet snow and it delivered. The Ryobi cleared the snow of the driveway despite the weight of it! My husband did the assembly, charged the battery and we were ready to go. Highly recommend for a normal driveway and sidewalk!

                Pleasantly satisfied after first use.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just bought my first battery powered snowblower, after owning 3 gas powered ones over the last 25 years I thought I would try battery. I did my research over the past 18 months and chose Ryobi for a number of reasons. Descent reviews, I already own a Ryobi Battery powered lawnmower, Which I love; and a Ryobi thickness planer so I have come to trust the Ryobi name but already having a 2nd battery tipped the scales First: Assembly - super easy, 2 bolts for the handle 5 screws for the discharger chute. Woke up to find approximately 5cm (2 inches) of snow across my driveway, time to get out the new snowblower. much easier to maneuver than my big gas snowblower and it started right up. No fumes and next to no noise. made my first 2 swipes down the drive and I was quite impressed with how it handle the snow. I continued to clear my driveway. Now my driveway is very wide, 15 meters (50 ft) and about 10meters (30 ft ) long so I have to double blow some snow, wind direction is a factor as well. I cleaned about 75% of my driveway with the first battery and the remaining 25% with my lawnmower battery. Results: It blew the light first coat of snow very easily, It handled the roadside plowed snow and second time snow well. Overall I am pleasantly surprised after my first use. I will continue to review this product as time goes on Overall Review: Easy to maneuver, quite, no fumes. Throws snow well battery life is sufficient but I definitely need 2 batteries, (or a recharge) for my driveway. Price is fair for what I got. FYI - I do not need to clean my entire driveway unless I am expecting a lot of guest. I do not know if I would ever give 5 stars to a snowblower of any type but this ones easily earns 4 stars after 1 use,

Lightweight, chews through wind packed snow
I needed a lightweight electric snowblower for my 900 Square foot wood deck. When a foot of snow or more falls, it is usually a few days until i get to it, and by then it is sunbaked and windblown, dense. Takes 1-2 hours of elevated heart-rate to clear the deck. Lots of sitting down to catch my breath at 7,800 feet. I took a chance on this unit and put it to the test last night. 15 minutes I was done for 14" of tightly packed settled snow that had fallen past two weeks. Ate it up. Love it.

                    Easy to use
I really was quite surprised on how this snowblower did its job. We had about 6"-7 of very wet snow last weekend, and I was impressed! I used it on my 30x10 in deck and it did a great job with little effort. Some people said it wouldn't get through wet heavy snow, but there is a technique I found start a little path with a shovel and then start from there. It was a little heavy trying to push the snowblower through it but not nearly as heavy it would have been using a shovel.... Saved my back.

Great little machine, even in tough conditions.
Purchased this little electric snowblower at the beginning of the winter of 2022/23. Had a couple of larger snowfalls and have been extremely happy with it. The included 6 Ah battery has generally cleared my 3 car driveway, walkways and 60 ft of sidewalk on a single charge in snow up to 6” (and deeper drifts). But today (February 2023 ice storm) has been its biggest test. We’ve received 2-1/2” (southern Ontario) of mixed precipitation, leaving a thick heavy layer of hard-packed slush, snow, ice pellets with a solid ice crust on the top. This machine couldn’t power through the icy crust, but to be fair, neither could my snow shovel (and the neighbours big gas snow blowers were obviously struggling). But after breaking up the ice crust with a metal ice breaker/shovel, the Ryobi had no problem breaking up the chunks and throwing them a good 15’. That said, it was much higher drain on the battery. Had to recharge half way, and it took the full second charge in the battery to finish. Still extremely happy with its performance, even in these tough conditions. Will likely buy a second battery and look at purchasing additional Ryobi 40V tools in the future.

                        Not made for Canada
First time reviewing a product, this snowblower performed so poorly hopefully someone will find this useful. I have a number of ryobi products including various tools and a lawnmower that I am happy with. Unfortunately this snowblower as useless. Purchased in November 2022. and used it approximately 5 times. It never would fully clear my walkway, driveway, and sidewalk on one charge (will try and attach photos). When the snowblower needed to clear snow greater than 4 inches it would struggle and only throw the snow maybe 12-18 inches clear of the snowblower - if I was clearing snow down the middle of my driveway, the snowblower would just be dumping it back onto the driveway. After the latest snowstorm my driveway had just under six inches of snow on it. The snowblower made one pass and then cut out. The snowblower will no longer start and I am returning it today. Not worth the money and I would give it zero stars if I could. Simply not made for Canadian winters.

                          Great little blower
Bought this a month ago, have used it through 3 snow storms and it has performed brilliantly. Gets through fairly deep snow, deeper than I thought it could handle. I really like that it's light an agile and I can use it in places a big blower can't go, small pathways, backyard deck and doesn't take-up much storage space, yet it can do my whole driveway. My only complaint is I got a dud battery that does not last as long as it should keeping the rating from being 5 stars. By comparison my 3 year old 4 AMP Ryobi battery lasts way longer which should not be the case. Having said that, with the properly working old battery I can get through my full driveway and a bit of my side path before needing to be recharged.
