Perfect fit for something I bought 25 years ago.

Replaced a 20 year old leaking Watts M1 valve. I used the shutoff part and o-rings from the new one and the already soldered on part from the older M1 part. Perfect fit.

Easy replacement for old Watts valve that had a leak. Just unscrewed the machine screws on the old one, and the the new one screwed right on. There are gaskets on the back where the valve mates to the incoming water pipe - make sure gasket from the old valve didn't there or you'll have a leak with the new one.

The one screw was so tight. It took awhile to unscrew it. But overall the job got done

Valve is leaking from the body where it meets the sweat connection elbow. Gasket looks fine, everything is tight. Water beings to pool on the top of the cold side sweat connection elbow where it threads into the body. For a band new valve, the quality is subpar. I even used a propress coupling on one side of the riser coming out of the valve, to ensure both elbows are exactly parallel once tightened, then pressed the coupling. This did not remedy the problem. Defective valve body and/or defective gasket

The slot in the screw heads is not very deep. Had to strip it out a bit just to break one of them loose. Also makes it difficult to tighten them when working within a recessed guy gray laundry wall box. The screw heads on the existing valve where much deeper and could easily be grabbed and loosened with channel locks. installed water tight but overall just an average design due to the cheaper screws.

I could not loosen screws to take it apart to sweat, so I will be returning it.

Does what it is supposed to. Easy replacement, no leaks, solid.

Careful! I put it in, installed my washer hoses, and everything is fine. Until I needed to disconnect one of the hoses. As I unscrewed it, the male threads on the shutoff valve started loosening with the hose, then water started coming out between the threads and the body. In other words, the hose would not just unscrew from the threads without taking the threads with it. Look at the picture and you can see the threads are not part of the body, they go up into it (different color). They can turn and loosen with a wrench. Not good. Fortunately, they tighten with a wrench, too, so I was able to tighten it back and stop the water.

Replacement shutoff valve for washing machine ... very easy to install as it was a direct replacement.

Aligns with original/old, now in-operable Watts valve H & C connections, so it wasn't necessary to realign existing piping to install this replacement one.

The shut off is uneven. Hot water shut off is fine, cold water continues to leak. Very strange that this unit shut off the hot water completely but not the cold water side.

I've had several in my apartments and they will always leak after a few years of use.

Used it to replace the body of an existing one that was leaking at the stem where it pivots.
