I used to go to this store whenever I needed hardware/tools, Christmas decorations, but I'll drive to the Cumming location going forward or go elsewhere. Will keep this as brief as possible. Ordered a Double Play 2-Burner Gas and Charcoal Grill in-store and paid to have it assembled and delivered to my residence (as we don't have a vehicle large enough to transport it). To my surprise, we received a grill in a box, unassembled. Upon closer examination, it was also the wrong grill (different brand and all). Called the store to notify them and we're then told that HD "doesn't deliver assembled grills," which didn't make sense, since that's what we expressly paid for. After a lot of back and forth, we begrudgingly bring the boxed grill back and HD agrees to refund the deliver charge. A floor manager tries to do the "right thing" and tells us that assemblers are there that day and that they'll assemble the "correct" grill and put us on schedule for delivery. Unfortunately, the customer service rep (very kind, BTW) tells her that the absent store manager "above her" said that I would have to come pick up the assembled grill myself. Again, we don't have a car big enough to transport this grill, so the store manager, in essence, either (a) didn't care or (b) didn't take the time to learn about the situation before rendering her edict. I was told that if I had any issues with her decision, that I could come to the store the next day to speak with her. I called the store and was told that she'd be there by a particular time. I showed up to discuss, but was then told that she had left. I'll abridge the rest. I agreed to go to the trouble of renting a small U-Haul from HD to pick up the assembled grill that they were supposed to deliver assembled. I appreciated the store agreeing to waive the rental truck fee, but we're still talking about numerous trips to this store to deal with this. I'm told during my 5/4/20 visit to the store that the grill will be assembled that day. On 5/10/20, after not hearing anything, I call the store to inquire on status, and I'm told the grill is ready. How would I have known? The sweet customer service rep tells me, "I tried calling you several times, but you didn't pick up." She's indeed sweet as pie, but why not leave a message? I go to pick up the grill to cook Mother's Day dinner and when I see the grill, it had gook all over it (that didn't look like it could be removed) and scratches on the leg. I then realized that I couldn't take it anymore, so I just got a refund and went elsewhere to purchase a smaller, already-assembled grill that would fit in my car. In sum, the rather thoughtless decision not to deliver the assembled grill as we requested - and paid for - has resulted in me not wanting to come back to this location, although it is the closest.

Customer service in the store 0147 continues to have issues with the customer coming first. That is all i can say

Cristi helped me find two cool mist humidifiers today. I had already been to several other stores but I could not find any, & no one was available to help me. I looked online & saw that Home Depot had them. When I got to the store, I had a hard time finding them. After searching all over the store, I decided to give up. As I was leaving the store, Cristi offered to help me & looked up the location for me. She personally walked me to the product & then checked me out as well. Thank you, Cristi !

I want to thank Adriana and David (veteran) during an unpleasant situation they step to the plate to help me with something that it was not their job. Adriana you always very helpful thank you for your hard work.

This Home Depot is exemplary in its customer service, kindness, and professionalism of its employees. Mike in Hardware is an absolute gem. I went to the Buford location feeling very nervous about taking the DIHS class. Immediately as I arrived I met the associate named Carmen. She was so sweet and welcoming. She gave me a few safety lessons on handling the power tools that we were going to use for the project. Even with the mistakes I made she assured me that it was ok. I had such a wonderful experience and now have the confidence to do it MYSELF (small projects) I will definitely be back to take another class. Thank you Carmen!

Honestly, I used to, approximately 10 years ago (or so), have problems every time I entered this location. Examples of such issues included inability to locate staff for assistance and if you could locate someone, they would dismiss you and say that it wasn't their department, etc. I actually stopped shopping here. Several years ago, I decided to give the retailer and this location another shot. The inconsistencies that I previously had issues with were fading out. At that time, it wasn't fully solved, but you could tell they put a lot of work into the quality of the individuals they were hiring as well as hiring more people. Two or three years ago I went in for a dishwasher and the woman there worked with me for three days to get some installation questions answered. Sure, that shouldn't have taken that long, but there was no one she contacted that could give her a definitive answer and quite frankly, she didn't want to leave my family in a bind. I appreciated the thorough follow through in customer service. As of today, I rarely (if ever) go to any location or competitor... and if I do, it's probably because this location would be inconvenient based on my temporary location. The employees... all of them... are courteous, well-trained, and detail-oriented. The store is well maintained and clean. They have taken great strides in the last few years regarding customer care and it shows.

This was the 2nd Home Depot i visited in one day and it was a night and day difference from the first. Was greeted and spoken to with helpful smiles and most knowledgeable people! Great job to whoever is in charge of hiring!!!

Busy place on a Sunday after Church but we got great advice on windows and had a Chicago Bears Fan, Ugg !! Its ok cut our blinds and give us great feedback on hanging them, etc. Thanks HD..We use you for almost all our home needs

A warm greeting at the door as we stopped by to see if they could match our older carpet, We ran across a friendly store employee, Jonathan that guided us to close matches in regards to color and texture, He also explained the process that Home Depot has to measure and potentially install. The deal sounded great and we set up a measure and he gave us a breakdown of the simple process and removal of all our old carpet and padding and sweeping up before we lay down our new carpet and padding. He showed us the differences in padding without hard selling us or trying to upgrade which made us feel more at ease. We hope after our measure the rest goes as well as today. Thank you...
