Absolute worst customer service. They refused to give me cash back on a return so I had to take store credit. When trying to check out with my store credit a few days later, their system couldn't match my card and ID (nobody could tell me why) so I couldn't check out. Then they tried to tell me that my store credit would be on hold for a couple of days and couldn't be used and the "manager" was rude to me like it was my fault not theirs. A 30 minute shopping trip has now turned into a whole fiasco while they try to figure out their own incompetencies. Their "solution" is for me to wait here all day while they figure out what to do. Never ever again will I come back to this store.

Your associate's behavior was offensive and pungent. A few days ago, I had purchased commercial Windex to clean the windows along with other home maintenance items. When I read the instructions, I decided to use power washer instead. As the Windex was $25+, I decided to return it back to the store. When I went to returns desk, the lady looked at me and asked me if I had used the Windex and filled it up with water. I understand her confusion because Windex is blue, but commercial Windex (which coincidentally was stacked in front) is almost clear. At first, I thought she was joking. She proceeded with opening 1 gallon container and smell it. She looks at me and tells me she does not smell anything. I asked her to go get the Windex Commercial cleaner and compare it. She proceeded to ask associates around her if they thought his was Windex. I told her that her behavior was offensive and repulsive. I shop at this store multiple times a month, this behavior is offensive.

I have shopped at home depot for many years and have generally always been satisfied with them when I have left. I came into this store looking to buy a Milwaukee combo kit with a promotion that offered 2 free extra tools with the purchase. I wanted a recipocating saw and a circular saw. Unfortuanley they were out of the circular saws. I got directed to the hardware department supervisor. I explained to him what was going on and i requested that in my experience if they are out of the item you are wanting they will substitute the next best thing to please the customer. The department supervisor was going to honor that request so we took all the mirchandise to the register where mark was going to check me out. So in my head I was super pleased once again with the level of service home depot offers. As we were checking out the department supervisor told Mark to mark the item down to the cost of the one I would get free with the promotion. I then stepped in and said that I was supposed to get it for free because the promotion is to get 2 free tools with the purchase. He then went to the board which states that and came back and acknowledged he made a mistake. The store manager Jayson was roughly 10 feet away doing something else so the department supervisor went to him and requested if they could mark down the cirucular saw where it would be free and evidently he said no. The deparment supervisor then gave me his answer of no. I really didnt appreciate in the fact that the store manager couldnt come and talk to me personally and be very sympathetic to the situation. I felt as though the store manger was aggitated from being bothered at all. The department supervisor mentioned that he could go later to another store and try to pick one up. I left very dissatified with the experience and the lack of representation of home depot core values. I then made an errand across the street and began thinking that i partially understand maybe not taking the whole markdown so I offered a solution. I called back and got ahold of the hardware department supervisor and explained what if I buy the combo kit and get the reciprocating saw that i wanted and another random eligible free tool. Take the free tool and return it for store credit. Get the substituded saw marked down to the same price of the free tool that i got store credit for and get it that way. in that circumstance it would be a $50 markdown vs a $179 markdown. The department supervisor said that it sounded good to him but wanted to transfer me to a manager to make sure. In that process the phone got disconnected. I tried calling back three times with no luck on getting anyone. That made me irriateded because he is the department SUPERVISOR. This is a situation that he could have easily taken care of. So I went back across the street and talked to the cashier Mark who was super helpful and informed me that the hardware department supervisor went to lunch. I then got referred to the ASM Melvin. I tried explaining my whole situation to him and he did not care about trying to help me at all. He tried saying that either it could be mailed or the department supervisor can get one in stock. neither option worked for me because i travel for work and it was my only day home and needed to get a small project done. i didnt have time trying to run across town, wait over an hour for someone else to run and bring one or have one shipped to my house. I tried explaining my other thought process on buying the combo kit, get the 2 free tools and return one for store credit and purchase the substituded marked down saw with that store credit. He did not want to listen to me or try to understand where i was coming from. He offered only those 2 options and that was it. He was very rude and unprofessional and doesnt represent any of the core values from home depot. I told him I was going to contact corportate and he did not care what so ever and walked away and continued on with what he was doing. Ive never seen an associate be so heartless than Melvin and at that point i was at a loss of words. I was on my way out of the door for the very last time in any home depot until Mark stopped me and asked what happend. I explained to him what just happened then the head cashier Krista came up and asked if she could help. I told them both im done with home depot. Ive never been treated with such disrespect. Krista insisted I speak to the other assistant manager JT who came up very professional and wanted to know what happened. I explained to him my whole situation and he was super sypmpthetic and wanted me to show him what i was wanting. He appologized multiple times that the situation made it this far and took care of me. We got the mirchandise and i went back to the register and JT took the full markdown on the saw. Mark, Krista and JT were a blessing to deal with. I was ready to wash my hands of ever doing business with home depot again and those 3 might have saved it. The store manager Jayson needs to learn how to properly take care of a customer and the assistant manager Melvin needs to be fired.

I purchased a clothes dryer which I thought I could pick up at the store and take home. I was told the dryer would have to be delivered and it would take 9 days. After taking off from work on the appointed day, I was told my delivery would not be made due to an earlier delivery issue, and someone would contact me the next morning. After not receiving a call, I phoned the customer service line the next day and was told my delivery would have to be scheduled for a week later which was the earliest possible delivery window. In other words, rather than my delivery being prioritized and scheduled for the next morning, I was sent to end of the delivery queue, even though I did everything I was supposed to do. Also, the customer service center says since Home Depot uses a third party for deliveries, it is not their fault. This is an incredibly poor customer service statement. When a customer makes a purchase from Home Depot, and Home Deport requires the customer to take delivery, then Home Depot should own all aspects of the delivery!!! After all, I did not contract with the delivery company. They were assigned by Home Depot. Someone should explain the legal concept of agency relationship to them. Like it or not, when you make the sale, and you collect the money, you own the customer experience!
