    Great suction and super light-weight
I loved using this machine. Its power was remarkable and it maneuvered like a feather. I have 3 long haired beasts (2 Aussies and 1 Samoyed/Husky). They put out an incredibly massive amount of hair. There is so much hair that I had to stop and unload about half way through. But even that inconvenience considered the Dyson Ball Compact Animal is a tremendous bargain. It is probably best suited for short hair dogs. And last but certainly not least is the excellent customer support that is provided ... read more by Dyson. Just like their vacuums they are head and shoulders above the competition.

    The Vac picks up well
Really like the animal. We have a Black English Lab, live in Florida so he sheds constantly. The Vac picks up well, so glad that I have tile throughout couldn't imagine carpeting.

    I love my Vacumm
I received your vacuum and used it today and it was the best cleaning a vacuum cleaner has done in my house. I love the fact that it is so light and so easy to use!!! even my 7 yr old that normally is afraid of vacuums loves it! My Mother who has problems with her arms as well was able to use it with no issues. I thank you from the bottom of my heart!! you guys are the best!!

    Great Machine!
I love this vacuum. I purchased my first Dyson in 2007 and in 2014 purchased the cordless model. I recommend the DC17 to every friend that either has pets or children. It does a great job. Have always had a great time if calling in for service. Very expensive but it's worth it. You will not be replacing a vacuum every few years. Love the wand and the fact that is attached to the vacuum and is part of the handle. No more pushing your vacuum and tools are falling off of it. Perfect!

    My Favorite
Had this vacuum six years and was my first Dyson. We have two labs and I used that vacuum daily. It was so easy to use and had a flat front so it would go under my kitchen cabinets. It was light enough to use on the stairs and the attachments were just "simple". I wish I could still get this vacuum.

    AMAZING Performance
I bought my Dyson to replace an existing vacuum cleaner. My old vacuum was not cheap (and it still worked) but I was never completely satisfied with the way it cleaned. After bringing my Dyson home I tried it out even though I had just finished vacuuming less than an hour before and the carpet looked clean. Boy, was I surprised to see how much lint was sucked up into the canister! I always took pride in my home and kept it clean and neat but after using the Dyson and seeing the amount of lint ... read more that was obviously embedded deep within my carpet, I was horrified and happy! This was one of the BEST purchases and worth every penny! Who knew that a vacuum cleaner could become a prize possession? It really is a great machine.

One of the best investments ever!
I have owned a Dyson DCO7 for about 11 years. Its the best vacuum cleaner I have ever owned. And I"ve owned at least four of them before I purchased the Dyson.. Suction has never decreased over the years and it is very easy to maneuver. About six years ago, I had a problem. I sent it back thru Sears and they gave me a loner un til it was fixed. That's great service. The long handle finally cracked and its no longer under warranty. Probably not worth fixing so I"ll probably purchase another one. ... read more If however Dyson can assist me in replacing the part, I would be most appreciative.

    It's great...........but
I really put my Dyson to work vacuuming up everything my ten year old Dyson left behind. I couldn't believe how much dirt and dust was left behind. My new Dyson animal and allergy performed well in it's vacuuming tasks but it has a funny plastic smell when it runs. Also, I had hoped that the big ball technology would make it easier to maneuver, but it is quite hard to turn, especially on carpet. I have arthritic wrists and find I have to use two hands to guide this machine. If I could, I ... read more would exchange my big ball for the regular model.

    Very good machine!
This is an excellent vacuum. It has many positives and a few negatives which is why I rated it 4 and not 5 stars. The positives are the machine is very quiet, has a lot of power, blows out clean filtered air and does an excellent job at deep cleaning the carpet. Has a switch which allows you to just use the vacuum or the vacuum and power head which is great for using the accessories. Cleans up pet hair better than any vacuum I have ever used. Commercial quality and should last for many ... read more years. The negatives are the vacuum is heavy and tiring to push plus you need to buy special bags which fill up fast if you have a pet. We vacuum weekly and will use at least two bags per week. Overall it really works great and we are happy with it.

    Powerful floor and upholstery vac
I highly recommend this upright vacuum. It has a nice feature in that the right side has an extension beyond the housing that gets under furniture nicely. This is a great help if you have to vacuum around a lot of furniture. Also, there is an accessory that doubles as the dust brush and the upholstery cleaner; you just turn it around and open the upholstery cleaner. You have a wand for cleaning crevices too. All of the attachments sit on the holder that is bolted onto the back. The vac is a HEPA ... read more safe cleaner that takes particles out of the air and puts them into the bag. The unit comes with two bags. You will probably want to order extra bags because the bags aren't as large as you expect on an upright vacuum. There is a cardboard rim around the filter that you just drop in. It is very easy to replace the filter. The vac is a little tricky to put together. Be sure to read the instructions first. The vac comes with the plug attached to the housing and the handle but the handle has to be attached and bolted. Make sure that you have the yellow cord from the handle going straight down on the right side of the handle when looking at it from the back before you put the plastic bolt into the handle to secure the cord. When you attach the tool holder, I recommend that you try to screw the bolt into the housing before putting the holder on it. If you do this then you'll know if the handle has been pushed down enough to align it for the bolt. It takes a good push to get the handle down far enough. The cord is very long so you can go through about two rooms without changing outlets. This is a great feature. The vacuum itself has a lot of suction power and a beater bar for carpet cleaning. It pulls up the nap of the carpet when you vacuum so it looks so nice and clean when you're done. When you store it in the closet, all of the parts stay on the unit so it doesn't take up a lot of space. This is a powerful vacuum.

    Excellent Product
This is an excellent product. It has a 10 amps motor that is quiet and provides good suction comparable to some 12 amps vacuum. Changing from floor to carpet is on the handle that can make vacuuming continuous without stopping to change. There are indicator lights for problem determination. The cord is 50' feet long. It has 2 attachments, a high quality brush and a nozzle, that is good enough for me. I had difficulty in the assembling because they call the bag an Intercept Filter and other times ... read more they call it a Bag, and the diagrams are small.

    I LOVE this Vacuum Cleaner
I'm not one to take time to review a product, but I must say nothing beats this vacuum cleaner. I have had numerous vacuums over the years and knew my former one needed replaced when it shot dust and dirt all over me. So, I got online, searched and researched and decided on this one. Just wish I could pick my men as well too. Anyway, putting it together was a cinch. Even I did it. But the suction power and ease this vacuum has is unreal. Easy to change/empty dirt/dust. Light weight, but yet ... read more works great. I highly recommend. Oh, and the inside of my car has never been any cleaner. This vacuum cleaner beats any carwash vacuum cleaner around.

    Great vacuum
I love the money I saved buying this high speed upright & it is very high powered suction to get into tight spaces & it was shipped directly to my door without going to the store. I love the service I get at Home Depot & this is a great vacuum for the money.

Dyson DC40 vs. Shark Rotator Pro Lift Away
Both the Dyson and Shark are made of plastic. The plastic on the Shark seems a little cheap and non durable. The plastic flexes in certain spots. Both are well thought out and designed well from a user stand point. Both canisters can be emptied easily without a dusty mess. The Shark is heavier than the Dyson and feels heavier when vacuuming. The Dyson maneuvers better than the Shark. The Shark vacuums more quiet than the Dyson. The Dyson puts out less (almost none) vacuuming smell than the ... read more Shark. The vacuum test. The Dyson is very expensive and is suppose to be one of the best. I vacuumed a 30" x 40" sample test rug with medium thickness with the Shark first, then I went over the same rug with the Dyson. Both vacuum canisters were empty at the beginning of the test. The Dyson vacuumed the same rug right after vacuuming with the Shark and was able to pick up about 3 table spoons more dust. The same test was repeated again with the same results. Remember this is only a 30" x 40" small rug. But, the Dyson DC40 is over twice the price of the Shark. I was able to get the DC40 at $130 off on sale and it came with the small vacuum brush and other attachments. Note: The test rug did look clean after vacuuming with the Shark. Then again the Shark can go on sale and the price is more attractive.

    Great product
I own a Dyson DC15 animal for eight years and it is still doing a great job. I decided to buy a second one (DC40) for the upstairs so I won't have to carry it since it is pretty heavy (I am very little). As expected, it also does a great job. It is smaller, lighter and louder than the DC15. For the upstairs, we have laminate floor and marble floor in the bathrooms. It is very easy to handle. I am glad I bought it instead of the robotic vaccuum.

This is the Rolls Royce of vacuums!
I love my new Dyson!!! I cannot believe how light it is, and the maneuverability. It is amazing. And the suction is great...I filled the canister in just one cleaning of my town-home. My only complaint isthat it is a little difficult to clean stairs with the attachment....I think I need to purchase some more tools to make that easier. Also, I had a little problem putting it together, but we looked on youtube and found a video that really helped. Sometimes you just need to see something done ... read more rather than read instructions and diagrams. But overall....I'm happy with my purchase and highly recommend it to others. Well worth the extra cost.

    Unbelievable suction
For the money this vacuum deep cleans better then our much more expensive canister vacuum. Check out the picture below of the dirt I swept up. The carpet didn't even look dirty before I put the cereal on it. Light weight all plastic vacuum that is bagless. The hose stretches 11" and the cord is 27" long. I now can do all of my kitchen and living room without changing the the plug. It also never loses suction unlike bagged vacuums. Why pay more when you can gave an awesome vacuum for a lower price.

    One great vacuum
Tried out for the first time today, have mainly bare floors an few runners to clean. Live in a sandy area and with a 90lb German Shepard have lots of sand and dog hair (with the heat dog hair is at high level) So went to work and was really pleased with the suction, just get close and was sucking it in. Picked up 3 times what I was getting with my other vac. Used the hose on my computer area, worked really great on the keyboards also sucked the stuff right out of the area between keys. Very good vacuum
I cant get too excited about a vacuum... but this was well worth the price. The vacuum has powerful suction, and the attachments make life easier. I would recommend this product

    Great but loud
The suction of the device is good. It is very light weight. The batteries recharge quickly and the two batteries means you are never stuck without a vacuum. I do think that it is very loud. Things also seem to get stuck easily as it enters the canister that severely cuts down on the suction - if this is a problem, look for a clog right where it should be emptying into the canister.

Owned a few simlar products, this one better over all
Being retired with a bad back, moving cords around while vacuuming around common areas took me twice as long with OTHER vacuums. This cordless Hoover is light weight and I love the ease of vacuuming stairs. The swiveling head is great too so you are not constantly picking up the vacuum to maneuver it. Plus we are not constantly buying filters, a savings in itself. Best coddled yet
Have owed several Hoover cordless vacs. Started with the Linxand then bought an air. Air crapped out at around year two. With two hairy dogs I needed another vac soon. Decided to try the Dyson but with a 10 min battery life and about 2000 sq feet to sweep daily that wasn't a good option so I returned the Dyson and went for another Hoover . Meanwhile I contacted Hoover and was told to take the air to a certified repair man. Long story short they repaired it at no cost to me.
