Great Size for a Great Price
I used it for a Backlit sign and it was amazing! Considering that the only other stores that had a sheet this size were over at the West Coast, California, this was such a relief. No need to pay over $200 in freight charges for this.

    clear and discriptive
I used this sheet as a top to a pantry that need a little more light. It worked great it allowed me to still put things on top, bright more light in and I don't have to worry about it breaking like glass would. The only down side was the cost a little more than a $100 it serve the purpose and cut easy with a carbite tip blade. Overall it looks great.

    Perfect for my space
I needed a floor mat to use under my computer chair. My space is small and this seemed like just the right size. I called the store and they were great in helping me decide that the size and thickness would work. It did! Delivery was quick, the quality very high and customer service was excellent.

Made a good bird cage awesome
Bought these to replace the wires in our bird cage. These look awesome. We can see right through the cage out the window. Birds have lots of light and sing more. We left the top 1/4 mesh to allow air exchange but that isn't noticeable compared to the rest of the cage. Was easy to cut with a jig saw and install with screws- drilling holes big enough to prevent cracking when applying force was necessary. Easy to keep clean with water and vinegar. No scratches in 2 years use.

    Ease
I had to cut and drill this Acrylic Sheet and it was very easy. The first piece I cut I was a little nervous, but after that everything was smooth sailing. Plus the price on these sheets could not be passed up for the job. I have been recommending these sheets to anyone who starts to talk about their need for plexiglass.

I can't believe it is so easy.
I bought this plexi-glass to replace the windows in my garage that were broken out from wayward tennis balls and basketballs. I cut this easily with a blade from a Dremel like tool. It was not as brittle as the lighter thinner pieces and seems to be very sturdy as replacement glass. It was clear and easy to clean and the protective film did its job.

    good, heavy product
This product was used to replace a similar product to protect one side of our screened in porch. The previous plexiglass was thinner and had cracked. This new piece is heavier and much more durable. You must be careful if you need to drill holes for installation, as we needed to do. Make sure you drill with a high quality drill bit and drill slow and steady.

    Perfect for the job
I bought this to go under a set of three parrot cages to keep the floor clean. Because of the thickness it was able to support the weight of the cages and the parrots did not chew on it like on the linoleum I had under it before. It took a bit longer than I would have liked for it to get delivered but it was worth its weight in gold!

    1/4 in. larger than specs
Using this for a pergola roof and built pergola assuming 4x8 ft sheets. They are actually 4 ft 1/4 in X 8 ft 1/4 in. Messed up my spacing! Also, one of 4 sheets had a broken corner. Other than that this are a good deal. Come with nice protective peel-off coating.

    Exceptionally clear for sunroom application
Easy to cut into 24" x 36" x .010" pieces by using fine-toothed circular saw blade reverse direction. Application was curved section (10) transitions from sloped to vertical. No problems with product in any way. However, I leaned over too far, kicked out the ladder, and landed in a world of hurt - my bad!

    Good, but.....
The OPTIX sheets were used to enclose the lower level of our new home very near the Atlantic Ocean. The acrylic sheets were PERFECT for this application and were easily installed with stainless steel screws. However, the two packages received were damaged on all the corners (some worse than others). It shouldn't affect the performance, but certainly takes away from the overall appearance. I suggest better packaging for shipment.

    Excellent product
The product is five star, however the packaging is two star at best. The six sheets arrived with each broken in at least one corner, and some two corners. Because it is more than a 100 mile round trip to the store and I was able to work around the breaks, I made a satisfactory adjustment with HD and we are satisfied. I would suggest you request added protection. The sheets are being used as a third layer storm window with home designed inside and outside framing. The result is excellent and the ... read more interior windows are really invisible. It must be noted that this type of plastic is not scratch resistant and needs to be treated with care. This purchase was for design testing, and I intend to purchase more next year to finish the total house.

Great for 12" wire shelving in pantry
I was looking for shelving to add to the 12" white wire shelving in our pantry because things tip over easily. I wanted something sturdy but crystal clear, but could only find the liner rolls which were neither. This shelving is both and the best price I could find. It fits perfectly on top of the shelving and is great because it lets light through so you can see everything on each shelf (the benefit of having wire shelving!) It was easy to measure and cut with a sturdy utility knife. I taped ... read more all the seams with clear packing tape and it looks great!

    Excellent Product
This product arrived quickly and was well packaged. The size liner I purchased required cutting. DO NOT USE SCISSORS!. Instead score the liner (like cutting glass, but using a box cutter). Taking the recommendations of others, both sides must be scored, then basically snap each piece. Fairly simple, though one piece I needed to score more than once on each side most likely because the top score and bottom score did not line up exactly. I have the liners in my pantry and they do exactly what I ... read more had hoped. No matter what size box, jar, etc. I place on them, they stay upright. Would have been helpful if cutting instructions were included.

Excellent for those awful wire shelves in closets. Added bonus - works well for cats too.
Easy to cut with a sharp box cutter, although some people posted that they had issues. I think it may be that their tool wasn't sharp enough? The width of the plastic is the same as the average closet shelf width, so the only cutting we did was for length. I used the shelf liner in my shoe closet, to stop my high heels from falling through the wires. Works well for this, no issues. I intend to purchase more for the rest of my closets. For those of you who own cats that like to climb on shelves, ... read more these are the ideal solution. No worries about cat paws getting caught between wires, and the liner is firm enough to support their body weight.

    Great Tool When Properly Used
I had to cut a piece of 1/4" acrylic. I researched the best way to cut and found one of these tools would do the job. The instructions on the package say it will cut up to 1/4" acrylic and that is what I wanted to cut. You need to clamp a straight edge on top of the acrylic down to a surface with a 90 degree straight edge. The straight edge and clamping surface edge needs to span all the way across the piece you are cutting. The straight edge on top lines up with your cut line and the edge of ... read more the clamping surface under the acrylic. Once you have this set up you can begin scoring. It may take more than a few passes to score it enough. The blade is V-shaped so it will slowly strip off the acrylic and make a small v-groove into it. You must get at least half way through the acrylic before trying to snap the rest off. If everything stays clamped in place and you strip the acrylic v-groove more than half the thickness the rest will snap right off. Then you can sand the edge a bit to clean it up if you want to. I did this with this tool and it worked perfect. Great Tool !

    Works Great
I needed to cut a piece of 0.09" acrylic into many different shapes and this worked perfectly. I didn't think it would work but it did the job good.

    Cutting tool works
I used this tool to score a 1/4 in. thick sheet of acrylic. The tool worked well for this job.

    Cutting plastic sheet
Cuts easily by using a circular saw with a veneer blade put on backward (the back of the teeth cut into the sheet) . Use masking tape to cover the cutting line and proceed slowly so as not to burn/melt the plastic.

    cut well, did not shatter
made a game for kids used this instead of glass for safety clear but does not break like glass

    Doesn't machine well
I attempted to fabricate a windscreen for an ultralight airplane out of this. The piece I needed was curved at the top and the bottom with straight sides getting narrower as it goes up. I cut the piece with a Dremel tool using a cutoff wheel, and then used a sanding block to clean and smooth the edges. It looked really nice at this point. Then I needed to drill 9 small holes at the bottom for bolts and seven small holes at the top for rivets. Using a 3/16" drill bit, I drilled the holes across ... read more the bottom with great success until I got to the 9th hole. When the bit went through, a 1"crack developed running from the hole to the edge of the sheet. The 7 holes across the top with a 1/8" drill bit went well with no problem. As I was riveting an aluminum mounting bracket to the top of the windscreen, the plastic split multiple times around the 4th hole. What I learned from this lesson is that this Optix product is not suitable for the purpose I intended. I don't fault Optix for this failure, after all they made no claims that it was suitable for this purpose. The purpose of this review is to let others who might have the same notion know that it will not work with this product. Save yourself a bunch of time and $35 dollars.

This plastic replaced the windows in my shop.
I expect these windows to last twenty years. !/8" sheets are light and easy to deal with. Two people are required. One person on each side of the sheet. The shop windows are a full 4'X8'. Lots of heat gain for the winter. Shade is required for the summer. Price at Home Depot was as good as I found. Delivery was free to the store.

    Nice glass replacement
Product was ordered online and shipped to the store. While the price that I paid at HomeDepot was better than all other known sources, it is still expensive. Shipping took longer than expected, but arrived in good shape with excellent packing. If mounted like glass I would rate this as excellent. I used it like plexiglass, not like acrylic and cracked it numerous times drilling holes. Fixed with gorilla tape, it works fine as a solar collector it was purchased for. I would use something softer ... read more or change my mounting technique, if used again. For the price I can upgrade to a double pane tempered patio door for the upper solar collector plate.

    Amazingly Clear
I used this product to make large windows on the gable end of a 3 season porch. The largest was 4' wide x 5' tall. Everyone who looks a the windows is amazed at how clear they are. People don't believe there are windows because its so clear. I've had to stop some from trying to climb up and touch them. Product was a little tricky to cut. At first I tried to score and break a large piece but it didn't work well because I forgot to remove the plastic sheeting from the back side where I scored it. ... read more This caused the break to go crooked at one side. Lucklily I was able to salvage the piece. I then went and bought a fine tooth saw blade and cut the remaining pieces with my circular saw. This worked much better. Overall product is great for windows. My only recomendations are (1) have a helper because its tricky moving large pieces up a ladder and securing them in position, and (2) don't remove the plastic protective sheeting until the windows are completely installed and all of your painting is done. I used a razor knife to lightly score the plastic at the edge of the windows and then it peeled right off.
