with Allure flooring. My Wife was apprehensive that I would not be able to do it myself, but I assured her that I could. Watched some videos on YouTube of people installing it and I knew I could do it. Got a Black Friday sale at Home Depot for some Cherry colored wood looking Allure plank flooring and installed it by myself in 3 days for around $1,100 - that was including quarter round $120 and T-piece molding for transitions to other flooring. Looks great and we love it. Looks like real wood, but more durable.
Allure cherry vinyl flooring
While this was my first attempt at a large-scale flooring update, it went well. Moving furniture around was really the trying part of the installation. With a tough finish, the Allure flooring also resists water, a very important factor for us. We keep a dog inside. He rarely urinates on the floor, but it does happen if we are gone for too many hours. A wood-based floor would absorb the fluid and swell, an outcome we cannot allow.
