We love this mower. Very easy to push and It's perfect for our medium sized yard. We are also impressed that we don't have to empty the bag several times before we're done.

This product is perfect for me. I am 62 years old with a bad back and neck. I have used it and loved it. Easy button!
No chords to pull, no chords to mow in half, no gas to spill! Made to order for a senior grandma who enjoys tending to her yard. Easy to start and stop and light weight. I leave the battery on the mower when I charge it. Push it right up to the outlet and plug it in. Thank you.
Home Depot is the best! Especially the new one off of Sixes Road. The sales agent sat with me and we did the research on which mower would be best for me. They also assembled it and delivered it and gave me a demo of how

Great product a Grandma can use!
I haven't mowed a lawn in over 20 years, so getting back into yard work was daunting. I bought this electric mower for ease of use. It is so easy to use, very lightweight, and the I love that it is self-propelled. I don't have to worry about buying gas and oil, I don't have to pull the cord to start it. It mows my whole yard in one charge. The battery is heavy, so the fact that I can charge it while still in the mower is so helpful.
This is my second Honda mower and I highly recommend it.My first Honda mower ran for almost 10 years.
Assembly took 5 mins.
Starts with one pull.
Auto throttle and auto choke work well.
Low vibration and quiet.
Very light and easy to push. The frame won't rust
Smart drive took to getting used to. Just a slight pressure will engage the drive.
Handles my Texas yard with no problem.
Great job mulching clippings, I don't bag the clippings.
Engine runs well on the garbage fuel sold as

Now THIS is a lawnmower!
This past month I let me old Craftsman lawnmower die a gentle death and went to Sears for a new one. I tried for 2 weeks and 4 cuts to like it. I could not. Called the store and the manager said bring it back. I got a different model, cut the grass once and took it back and got a refund. Today, I do not think the Craftsman brand is engineered to be as effective as the brand used to be. I wound up at Home Depot and bought this Honda lawnmower. It, unlike the 2 new Craftsmans, did what it was

Worth every penny
Excellent mower! The smart drive control is convenient, easy to use and the self propel system is smooth and powerful. Handlebar easily adjusts and can be folded down for storage in seconds. Starts first pull every time and engine is powerful enough to make full passes through thick 6-7 inch grass. I bag all my clippings and it left not one behind and the bigger bag and smaller mulched clippings cut how many times I needed to stop and dump them in half. For how big this mower is I found it

For years i lived in the country and had a John Deere riding lawn mower but recently moved to the city with a smaller, but not small! yard. Being a single female, close to 60 years old, i needed something easy to start and to use. My yard is slightly hilly with lots of trees, also on a corner. This lawn mower is a God-send. Putting it together was a snap, literally. So far, it's starting has been flawless. It's easy to maneuver and to get used to. It cuts perfectly, no gaps, no grass left

Excellent mower; love the electric start
Replaced a 20+ year old Honda w/ the electric start self-propelled model. New mower cut great and I noticed a smoother more even cut. New mower is heavier than my old one, but it doesn't pose a problem. The electric start is great. Assembly was a snap; take it out of the box, lift the handle into place, add supplied oil and my NEW gas, turn the key and I was up and running. Read lots of cautions about only using fresh unleaded gas ( less than 30 days old) due to carburetor fouling. Recommend buy

What can you say...it's a Honda!
This lawn mower had to be ordered through Home Depot as an online purchase. It was delivered to my home within 5 days of the purchase. Hardest part of the assembly was removing it from the shipping box. Just added oil and gas and it fired up on the first pull. I ordered mine with an electric starter and even that fired up the lawn mower on the first turn of the key!

This mower is powerful, mulches well and is built like a tank.
Really like the mower. The self propelled is different than I have used prior.

Great reliable mower
This mower is awesome. I was a little concerned after reading the other comments about the nuetral lock, but I do not have any issues, It allows you to push and pull manually when the neutral lock is not on but when it is locked on, it makes it so you don't accidentally engage the forward drive. I like it. The mower overall is sturdy and I love it. Great Value!

Great mower. Awesome price, and the ship to store for pickup was very convienent.
Mower arrived within the specified timeframe, and was very easy to assemble. It started with the first pull out of the box (AFTER adding oil and gasoline!). The self propulsion is outstanding - matches any speed I want to go and pulls very well over all sorts of terrain. The unit is very light and easy to handle as well - especially compared to my old Craftsman. I would highly recommend this machine over a comparable Toro or Lawnboy, and is a better value for the money than the comparable Honda.

Good Product, but........
It is a very good product, from the engine to the body, to the ease of use. However, the Self Propel Bar is a terrible design flaw, and the chance for multiple pinch points is high. When you engage the propel bar, it's at such a disadvantageous angle, that your hands and fingers are always in danger of cuts, scrapes and pinches. Other than that, good engine,

First time user of a self-propelled lawn mower
I have been using this lawn mower for a couple of months, it starts up on the first or second pull and runs fine. Still getting uses to the drive system, but it seems to work well.
Was very simple to prepare for operation. Removed from box, locked folding handle in place, placed bag on mower(had to assemble bag on frame) filled with 10w30 / 12 oz. of oil included, added non-ethanol fuel, inserted key into electric start. Mower started each and every time, no priming required. Had to get use to variable speed self propelled function, but was easy to get use to operating. Grass entered bag easy and not clumps of grass noticed. Engine has a lower profile than my old mower and

Some areas collect grass in grass chute and under mower, so be mindful of this while cleaning grass from carriage of mower. Very glad I purchased this mower to replace 15 year old mower that rusted out. Priced higher than I expected to pay for a mower, but if it performs like this for 15 years, I'll be extremely happy too. Consumer reports rated this mower as one of the best for self propelled and I would agree with them. I think that if price was $50-$75 less, would be great value.

I purchased this mower to replace a 10 year old Craftsman. I researched various models and read many reviews. In the end I based my decision on the May 2015 Consumer Reports recommendations for this mower. The shipment from Home Depot arrived on time. Only gas lawn mower I'll own
Someone broke into my locked shed and stole my one year old Honda lawn mower. I purchased the same model to replace it. I wouldn't be happy with any other lawn mower. I'm a 68 year old widow that needed an easy to use gas lawn mower to cut my large front yard. Bought this mover after researching what Honda and others had available for 2016. Have always owned a Honda Mower but was ready to look elsewhere if I saw something better. There wasn't. Excellent Lawn More that only Honda could Make !
Been waiting last five years to retire my Snapper lawn mower which I had for 19 years and gave to my son. Honda has certainly designed themselves to the top of the market for push lawn mowers through excellent manufacturing and quality materials over the years as they have done with so many types of outdoor equipment.

Happy with the features on this mower
I find that this mower is easy to start, gives a quality cut, and the speed control makes it easy to match the correct speed for the lawn. The Roto-Stop blade stop worked great.
My previous mower was a 90's era Harmony II - by comparison, the composite deck makes it feel lighter and more maneuverable. Having the selectable mulch / bag setting is more useful than I expected for the cases where I want to bag some excess grass but not take the time to bag it all.
Bought this to replace the same model I first bought 16 years ago. First one still works but wanted a new one. Undoubtedly the finest made.
Best lawnmower I have ever had, and I am 73 years old, so I have had a few. Swivel front wheels make following the landscape blocks and curbs so easy. Lots of power. If you put it on a faster speed you would have to jog to keep up with it, maybe even run. Starts first pull every time. Even the 16 year old one starts first pull.

Ariens 21 classic Swivel wheel walk behind mower
Just was able to break the mower out of the shipping crate and have used it for two mowings. The mower starts quickly and has been very reliable, but this will have to be tested over time. It cuts well and throws the grass up into the catcher with ease.
We are so glad to have a self-propelled mower. Now we don't have to push and pull, just guide and direct.

Just the best!
My current model just finished it's third season as good as new. It was a replacement for an almost identical one that lasted me 20 years! I was able to buy the standard model and transfer the front swivel wheels from the old one! It is American made and you can call their HQ to ask technical questions and have them answered is a super plus!
