Great store... prices are reasonable... very customer friendly.

Received E-MAIL Invoice/Receipt for items I DID NOT purchase on a day I DID NOT shop @ Home Depot. SOMEONE used MY Military Discount. Cashier "Mariasusana" allowed SOMEONE to use my Military Discount. When I use MY Discount, upon review at home I find items not discounted;; when I return to the Store for a "correction", I get an "education". So I just go home, get ALL the items I purchased, and return for a TOTAL REFUND. Then "next door" to a store that ALWAYS gives me a discount!

Staff helpful, friendly, willingly assisted and acknowledge you present although they may be assisting other customers. The associates walk to aisle to assist with locating items and explain the differents in materials.

I would highly recommend the door department at the Newport News Home Depot to anyone in the area looking to purchase a new door. We had contacted a number of contractors and found the process frustrating (people not calling back, giving estimates and then not showing up to do the work, etc.) The process at Home Depot was so smooth and easy. I worked with Dennis and was delighted. Two thumbs up!

Looking for a power mower. Had a good selection - decided to spend a little more and get a Toro. Employee helped me get it on a cart - was bulky but not heavy. They have a military discount.

Great store! Well organized, well stocked, easy to maneuver.

I came there to look at interior shutters. I was set up with an in home viewing of interior shutters, from the Home Depot's salesperson catalogs. My wife and I were very impressed with the samples, which were shown and made a purchase. Shortly afterward, a workman came to my residence and took measurements for the installation, for the installment of the shutters, that will be arriving in eight weeks or sooner.

The store was busy but most employees we passed asked if they could help with anything.

Love this store! It’s typically well-stocked and the staff are always friendly and extremely helpful (very knowledgeable!). My go-to home improvement store for sure!

Although this store sits by a major competitor, I would rather shop here for their genuine friendly customer service. This is a "Big Box Store" with "Small Town" service. The employees take the time to greet you and actually help you. I bought an appliance and had a run around with the warranty department, when I called the store where I purchased the appliance someone other than the appliance section answered the phone. The employee took the time, spending over an hour on the phone with me and the manufacturer to replace the appliance within 2 days. This employee went above and beyond what I expected from a so called "Big Box Store". I'm a customer for life because of her and the service desk.

I came in about 815 pm at the garden center, the gates where locked and the cashier was on the other side and told me to go up front and pay and will have somebody load it. I was getting 20 bags of mulch that was on sale till closing. The cashier's name was Marisol.She was great respectful kind cashier,that was very helpful. That I want recognized for a being a hardworker that she is. If I had a business, I would be honored to have her for an employee.She rung me up and could not find anybody to help me load it. She did get one of the cashier from outside that was walking up to take her place at the self scanner. She hustled outside, a little jog to the mulch outside and loaded it for me, with me helping. She was more than happy to help me. In the hustle to the much, she pasted some other workers who were younger and knew where she was going because she told them. Did they join her? Nope, I thought that sucked, She does the work of 2 people at least.I think that it should be brought to the attention of the store manager. Those guys are lazy. Thank you for Marisol.

The store has everything I need, variety, great prices, helpful friendly and professional staff, clean and well organized .My favorite store.

We have been very happy with the Home Depot in Newport News. They are very friendly and extremely helpful. The store is clean and easy to locate the supplies we need. They offer assistance if we need help getting supplies into our vehicle. It is our go to home repair and yard work supply store.
