During a recent visit, my experience was a mixed bag, which prompts me to share both my concerns and the potential I see for this establishment. As a customer, particularly one navigating the shopping experience with a two-year-old and newborn, I look for support and understanding from the store staff. The Concerns: Unfortunately, the managerial staff seemed unprepared to provide the assistance we needed. Despite several attempts to engage for help with a product issue, the responses felt dismissive. This not only made our shopping experience stressful but also resulted in additional expenses and a damaged product, compounding our disappointment. The lack of empathy and unwillingness to assist or navigate us through the resolution process was disheartening, especially given the challenge of shopping with a young child. The Silver Lining: Despite these challenges, I believe there’s room for improvement. The store itself offers a variety of products that cater to a wide range of needs, and it’s clear that with the right customer service approach, shopping here could be a delight. The environment is welcoming, and the product selection is commendable. Constructive Feedback: I urge the managerial staff to consider training focused on customer service excellence and empathy, especially for families shopping with young children. A more hands-on and compassionate approach to customer concerns can transform a stressful situation into a positive, loyal customer relationship. Implementing a clear process for addressing product issues and customer dissatisfaction could greatly improve the overall customer experience.

If you have small children then please do not take it to homedepot they had big dog walking around with no leash and all the employees did not do anything about it they was too busy rubbing the dog then helping you with anything . I was trying to take a picture of the dog but he was running away . Also they aisle always closed like this everytime you go to homedepot and people calls the manager on the pager and they never answer the pager or come talks to u

So much nicer to go to a business where the staff actually work and keep the place clean at the same time very pleased with Home Depot.

I went looking for houseplants, the selection was better than at competitive stores. Ann greeted me upon arrival in the garden center and was very friendly when checking out.

A very professional employee helped me find exactly what I was looking for.

Javier has great customer service skills, he helped us pick out the perfect lawn mower for our yard. Very helpful and knowledgeable.

I came in for a fridge and got such a good deal, that i decided to purchase a microwave too.

On March 12, 2024 I went to Home Depot located at 4176 Franklin Road Roanoke, VA around 11:40 am. I picked up 6x6 posts for a deck. The store associates Eric, Diana, and Keith actually had all my materials stacked up and ready to go for me before I even got to the store. All I had to do was walk in and pay for it. I really appreciate the outstanding customer service from the store associates. Job well done. We will definitely be returning customers. Thank you, Garry

Was there on Black Friday and Alan Gleiner in appliances was great to work with. It seemed everyone wanted to work with him. Super patient guy and knowledgeable. Appliance displays could have been better in selection. But associate made experience much better.

Ridge was extremely helpful in the lumber department. He had a great attitude in assisting me. Diana, the cashier was also very pleasant. Also, this store was in stock on merchandise that two other HD stores did not have. I will go out of my way to shop this store in the future.

When I had no idea what to go with, Colin (the store manager) took the time to help me choose a power tool brand and put together a solid starter combo kit. He was knowledgable, patient, and very helpful making this probably my best shopping experience ever at the Home Depot. Also, I noticed that all employees at the store worked very well together, respected each other, and created a very positive and friendly environment. At checkout, Denise kindly explained the benefits and signed me up for a Home Depot credit card, and I now look forward to shopping here as much as possible.

The first team member who saw me, Kyle, smiled and helped me to find the first part I needed. As I walked toward plumbing, Alan and then Su asked me about the project on which I am working. Alan and Su helped me to better understand and creatively solve my plumbing problem with warmth and genuine kindness, as well as expansive subject matter expertise. Literally every employee with whom I have interacted has been great. I highly recommend this store.

The flowers are always loaded with blooms and ready to be planted in my yard for a gorgeous garden every year. The mix of perennials and annuals makes it easy to highlight my whole yard differently on my terms.

He is a cool guy, knowledgeable in appliances, very helpful

We use Kelloge planting products before and it works very well in our raised beds, pots and ingrown plants and vegetables. I also love to find odd plants that no one else carries.

I tried to make a simple return or exchange today and had my email receipt on my phone. For whatever reason they still insisted they had to put the $3.54 on a in-store credit card. In order to do that they wanted my ID, which I did not have. Not sure why you have to show an ID when you have your receipt. I just let them keep the item and went and bought what I needed. When I checked out the kiosk asked if I wanted an emailed and/or printed receipt. I wondered why bother if you can’t make a return or exchange with the receipt. Oh well, it was only $3.54, but, for me, it’s the principle of the matter.

The associate that helped me, the one with one arm, got me everything I needed.

Called the store and spoke to Dan/Dale and said he would hold 3 items for 60 min. Wouldn't let me pay over phone which can be done. Got to store and find out only 1 left. Bought it. Waited 30 min for someone to load and unchain. Walk outside and its gone. Went to customer service and TJ was super rude and hateful saying it was the computers fault. How do you sell me something and then it is just gone? Asked to have one shipped. Can't be done she says. Only refund. Store lacks leadership
