Customer Reviews

Rated 2.0 out of 5 by 1 reviewer.
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by 5/8 in. x 20 ft. Soft Copper Type L Coil At the time of this review, this product is not correctly labeled vs. the labeling in the store. This product is 5/8OD aka 1/2NOM. Box labeling in store reads 1/2NOM not the 5/8 of website product info so if you go to the store looking for this product model # you'll get 1/2NOM. If your looking for the website listed 1/2 product you get a box that reads 3/8 not 1/2. So a slight error in labeling. This product (5/8OD aka 1/2NOM instore) is currently in use and so far so good considering. Its being used as an a/c line set. Unfortunately, its the last time I buy copper from HomeDepot or the other hardware place. I know the last time buying soft copper a few years ago here that there were caps on the ends - still have them. This last stuff had two open ends. BAD! It has to be very clean or things break. On top of that the tubing had copper particles inside due to the way it was cut. BAD! Again the tubing has to be clean. So the 20ft tubing became ~16.6ft. The particles can go in about 2ft on each end. Now, after cutting it I thought about putting the tubing to the end of a vacuum hose and using that to clean it out - it is 20ft! I believe it did something with lots of air being moved (quite powerful). But, would have been curious to know if it would have worked with the tubing in whole and many particles and all. I can't recommend the buying of copper from here for the shiny clean copper inside requirement. Any other reason go for it. June 8, 2012
