Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Mike outstanding budget-saving product
We chose this fence to replace a dilapidated 6' privacy fence. At the store (Sequim, WA) the very helpful rep suggested using the matching cedar posts and brackets, as opposed to face screwing it to basic 4x4 posts, as I had planned.
As other reviewers complained about the surface finish, I belt-sanded them with 80 grit lightly as I unloaded them. They installed easily, and took one quart of oil-based primer (to lock in the cedar) per panel segment. I am perfectly happy with the appearance. It looks like real wood, and has mill marks still visible (some bandsawn, some circular-sawn).
For less than $600 and elbow grease, I did a $3k job. Thanks, Depot.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Vicd1959 Great for the money. Real time saver.
Most panels turned out pretty good. Had a few minor imperfect pickets, but overall, they look really good. Easy to stain, which I would highly recommend versus painting. Stain actually is absorbed into the bare wood and weatherproofs it at the same time. Paint just covers the wood, and is prone to cracking, flaking, and fading. Solid stains work great with these panels, especially in our Colorado climate. Hard lessons learned, but happy to pass along the knowledge to help you in your decisions. Good luck!!!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by dugdeb Good fence but there is a catch.
I have used literally 100's of these fence panels over the years. One caveat: the rails are not cedar and will rot out much sooner than the cedar pickets. To prolong the life of the fence DO NOT PAINT THE FENCE. Rather, use a good hi particulate STAIN. The stain will soak into the wood whereas the paint will form a surface seal that eventually cracks between the pine (?) rail and the cedar picket. The pine rail then rots because of trapped water. If you do as I have indicated, you will get many years of service out of the fence (some are still in service after 20 years). If you paint it, you will begin to see the rail rotting in as little as 3 years.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by CMJ Looks Great!...However....
We love the finished project - panels were easy to work with and install
However, we made a really BIG mistake by installing first and then attempting the staining/sealing - real pain to do it that way!
Also - we were surprised at how quickly the wood deteriorated and cracked. It was installed for about three weeks before we started painting and the damage is substantial

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by jajajm82 Great for level ground
The pre-assembled panels are easy to install keeping in mind that it works best if the ground is level. If the ground your fencing has a incline, then it probably best to build your own at site.

I put up about 50 feet of this pre-built fencing. I first cemented 1.5" metal polls 10' apart, stained all the fencing to make it maintenance free. Bolted it up to the polls and installed a gate.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Michal Great for the price!
This product appealed to me since it's all put together and ready to go, and really costs about the same as it would to get the lumber and do it myself! I did have to sand it, the wood was very rough, but other than that no complaints!
