Customer Questions & Answers

Are these as sturdy and long lasting as the braided steel ones?

I don't want to end up replacing these again within a couple of years.
Asked by: Strebor
Thank you Stebor for your question. There are several design features of this product that we believe make it a better product. First, the polymer braiding is superior in flexibility to other products so it won't kink or flatten and restrict water flow. Furthermore, these connectors have a strong, reinforced PVC inner hose that is designed to resist deterioration in harsh water conditions. The polymer braiding is made of a high-tenacity, multi-filament core yarn that is protected by a polymer coating. This combination provides a braiding that resists corrosion caused by chemicals found in common household cleaning products. Finally, we use an 8-sided pneumatic crimp to help ensure a secure hose to nut connection. If you have any questions about the products performance, please feel free to contact our product team toll-free at 877-272-7755. They'd be happy to go over any questions that you might have.

Can this be used as a dishwasher connector?

Can this be used as a dishwasher connector?
Asked by: Al
Al - Yes, it can. Most differences in the flexible connectors are just the end connections and the lengths. Dishwashers typically use a 3/8” Comp. x 3/8” Comp. There is no difference in the construction or materials that are used to make the connectors. We do offer connectors that have typical dishwasher connection ends. Please call our customer support team at 877-272-7755 and they can assist you in selecting the connector for your specific application.

why are these considered superior yet they will not pass codes in the areas they are sold?

many inspectors will fail them. they test by taking a lighter and if they melt they fail.. then I am not only out the cost of these but some cities cost an additional inspection fee for return visits. be careful where you install these.

3/8 in. Compression x 1/2 in. FIP x 20 in. Braided Polymer Faucet Connector is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 111.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to Install, LQQKs Great, Well Made, Nice Price.... the price is very pleasing, installations was easy, fast and simple. The products seems well made and no sign of leaks anywhere. Though getting the exact size is a must. I would recommend measuring the distance needed or take your old one (if replacing it) with you to buy the new one. I highly suggest buying the next larger size, for instance....if you need a 16" line then buy the 20".....the reason -- if you decide later on to remodel the sink, like going to a longer cabinet and the faucet is moved further away from the supply, then this extra length will already be there and ready. Pro's: good quality, easy to install, low price, looks good. Cons: nothing to mention yet

I have to order online and pick it up at the store later.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from 8 out of 26 supply lines leaked over time I purchased 26 of these supply lines in various lengths at Home Depot when we built our new house, thinking they were a premium product. I had 3 of them leak within 24 hours of installing, and took them back for replacements. I had another one leak after 3 months in an upstairs bathroom which we discovered when the laundry room ceiling started dripping. I replaced that one. We agonized over whether to change out the whole house, but after checking 26 of them regularly for a couple months and having no further leaks, decided it was just a few bad apples. Now, a year after the initial installation, we discovered water damage on our dining room ceiling from another upstairs sink, and when checking the whole house again, I found 4 more with slow drips. All 8 leakers failed at the crimp joint between the braided steel hose and upper fitting. At this point, I'm changing out the whole house to the simple grey plastic supply lines. So much for a premium product!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Well Built and Perfect Compression Seal I installed these lines on my new kitchen faucet. I was very surprised. I have never installed a supply line that completely sealed with a non aggressive hand tighten (meaning I tightened just slightly). I tightened maybe 1/8 turn more after hand tighten and so far not a single drop from either end in two days. I am a fan of stainless steal braided (my local home depot was sold out of these) so I will see how these polymer ones hold up over the next few years but being "made in usa" to me means very well built with a price as good as all the others.
