It is supposed to fit on a pipe with ID of 3 inches while it is made for a pipe with 3 inch OD. What is stupidity; we had to cut and fit and it is not a good fit but how can we deal with it otherwise when HD does not like returns. I have 3 itrms unused and they refuse to take them back. huh

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Arby Repair of damaged, lead roof jacks
For repair of small, lead roof jacks that have been chewed on by squirrels. If there is no damage below the top couple of inches of the vent, just slide the roof jack over the existing lead seal and the repair is done. If the squirrels have chewed on the lead further down the side, cut a piece of flashing and wrap around the vertical lead and pipe. Slip and tighten a radiator hose clamp over the lower portion of the flashing to hold the bottom of the flashing tight to the existing roof jack. If the flashing touches the inner top edge of the roof jack, cut "V" notches out of the top edge of the flashing to insure adequate venting. Squirrels will not chew on the metal roof jack, flashing or hose clamp so this is a permanent fix.

I bought this for a pipe vent that never had a rain cover on it. Every time it rained straight down, my bathroom which did not have any outside vent in it got soaked from water dripping into the attic from that pipe. I had a little trouble getting it to fit but It worked great . We have had record rains and no more wet attic . Cheap and easy.

They work great...only problem was one of them must have been made on a Monday or Friday...it was missing all the rivets that hold the top on.
