Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by SoccerDadof22 Great way to save your hearing...
Over the years, I've tried using 'normal' hearing protection - and they've served me OK. I then tried to use 'normal' protection with ear buds, and time and again, the cord would snag on anything and everything...never a good thing when operating dangerous equipment such as lawn mowers, table saws...anything that could hurt you. When I saw these, I had to give them a try. So glad I did. Excellent reception, great battery life, and best of all - no snags! I'm far more willing to wear hearing protection since I can now listen to my favorite radio station...and because the protection is so good, I can keep the volume down. Highly recommend.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Rockmeister The 3RD Generation ones are great!
As another reviewer mentioned, these are the 3rd generation ones and they are GREAT!
The ones you want have TWO KNOBS!
I have all 3 generations and the 3rd are the best I have used!
You do NOT need or want the ones with the display.
The 3rd generatiion ones let you know what channel they are tuned to by announcing in the headset itself & when they are on a channel they hold the channel VERY well!
Incredible reception! They grab a channel and hang on tight!
Best of any radio hearing protection I have ever had.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by ArtyCurtis Awesome!!! Cuts down the sound of a table-saw!
The recipient of this gift said that it was hard to believe how easy to use, how beautiful the sound. He had priced a famous name competitor and it would have been $1000 or so, but it couldn't be any better than this. He uses it in his workshop with a screaming table-saw, and it cuts out the screeching sound and replaces it with music. For me, it feels good to be able to give a gift that was this well-received.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by farmer On/Off volume switch fails after a year, won't lock on a station, too much drift and directionality.
The reception is very directional, so the station will cut out if you turn head slightly. Audio quality is mediocre. Battery life is short and there is an annoying loud beep when it thinks batteries are low. The black covering on antenna degrades quickly leaving bare metal exposed.
After one year the potentiometer on/off volume switch stopped working, there was no way to turn off the radio or reduce the volume, it was stuck on full loud volume and I could only turn it off by removing batteries. I attempted to contact customer support to see about a replacement switch or repair of defective unit, and got no response at all.
You are better off with an MP3 player and ear buds under a cheaper hearing protector muffs. I used this while mowing the lawn, and I could only hear the station about a third of the time, the rest of the time it cut out or was staticy . The product needs to be redesigned from scratch and tested in the real world, and the on off volume switch needs to be made of durable materials that will last longer than one year.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by N192 analog were worth buying, stay away from the digital work tunes
We had 2 sets of work tunes, analog, worked well and had great reception; however, we had antenna problems after a lot of wear. Bought 2 digital sets to replace them, they are garbage!

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by TonyT Read This: About Bad Radio Reception
I have had the last 3 models. The 1st model is analog and has great radio reception. The 2nd model is digital and has an LED display on the side and has the TERRIBLE radio reception. The 3rd model is digital with NO LED display (but has a large dial/knob for a total of 2 knobs) which speaks the stations to you, and the radio reception on this 3rd model has been fixed! I see that some people are leaving the bad reviews for model #2 (which has bad radio reception) for the fixed model (#3 with terrific radio reception) ...be careful! In these Home Depot photos, they actually have two different model photographed (#2 AND #3), so we don't know which one it is. I hope that helps.
